Walker Edison Metal X 3-Piece Wood and Metal Coffee Table Set in White Oak

I was so excited to get these new end tables and coffee table. We also purchased the tv stand that matches and love it. We waited until last weekend to put the set together and by Monday the corners were peeling off! I had no idea that the finish is just paper. The tables are heavy, sturdy and you can feel wood grain on the surface but it is fake!! We put corner protectors on them because we have small grandchildren and were afraid of them falling onto a corner. The protectors came right off and took the paper finish with them. I'm devastated! I can't afford to replace these or return them.Update: We contacted the seller about our problem. They quickly responded and assisted us in ordering a replacement for the damaged top at no cost to us.

I read all the reviews about this product and waited a bit before I wrote this review. I think I’ve had the coffee table, 2 end tables and tv co sole table (with fireplace feature) for a couple of months. I also have a 4 year old. So I was constantly paying attention to make sure the pieces did t get gouged or damaged. And I’m happy to say. They have held up great. We had one tiny chip in the back of the console after dropping something heavy on it. We love the style and the color they are very sturdy. Assemble is assembly I think organization and patients make things go a lot smoother. Overall. We are very happy!

I will start this review by saying I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of these tables. They are real wood and laminate. The X braces R one-piece design which I really liked as well and are crinkle coated not some cheap spray paint. Assembly is a breeze if you have the slightest bit of mechanical aptitude. I think the only negative I can find is that the screws seemed to be a softer material and if you're not careful will strip the head of the Phillips head easily. I would also add that the glue they provide to hold the dowels for the top of these tables is a bit cheap. I had Elmer's wood glue that I used but halfway through the assembly I realized the glue was only to assist holding the wood dowels in place while putting in the tops in position.

Didn’t take too long to assemble them at all. The instructions were easy to understand and included easy to follow pictures. They have a good weight to them which makes it seem sturdy. I believe it’s a laminate but you can’t tell (unless it eventually starts pealing) but so far so good. All 3 pieces came in separate packages but arrived at the same time. EXTREMELY well packaged to the point where I was shocked at how much effort they had put into the packaging. Overall I’m really pleased with this purchase and would recommend!

The table set are great for what they cost. Came in fairly quick and we're super easy to assemble. Would definitely recommend buying this for a family room simple look. Not fancy or expensive wood used.

In general, I'm very pleased with the appearance, value and quality of this furniture. The only improvement I can think of is that the glued dowels which help to keep the top in place should have fit more snugly.

These tables were very well built with engineered wood but not the powdery sawdust type. A hard composite. Hardware was well thought out and sturdy. Assembly was easy. I have put together quite a bit of furniture in my life. These exceeded expectations.

Super easy to put together and great quality. I did have trouble getting some of the screws to stay straight. I also ordered the matching electric fireplace.I wish they metal accents were brown but that’s just personal preference.
