Super product
KT is helpful for sprains and minor sports injuries. It helps me with a tennis elbow and achilles injury. Look for this and the pre-cut strips. They work great and you can't go wrong applying it. It is helpful to have an extra set of hands for shoulder and back injuries but not impossible to apply yourself. Your PT or Chiropractor should be willing to help apply the product for tough to reach places. Check out KT's videos on line - they are great. Think of an ace bandage that stays in place. The adhesive stays so well it remains on through sports and showers. Can be worn up to 5 days. Very helpful in supporting the muscles, encourages healing and prevention of injury. Great for shin splints, too.

5 years post-op Torn Labrum
I had surgery 5 years ago to repair a torn labrum as well as some shoulder instability. I had no problems until a few weeks ago when I again dislocated my left shoulder. Upon researching various shoulder harnesses, immobilizers and braces, I discovered this product. I ordered the 240 inch uncut roll for about $13. While waiting on it to arrive and found that Dick's Sporting Goods also sells this for about the same price so I purchased a roll of the pre-cut strips [same length] to try in the meantime. I must say this tape is amazing! I wish I would have discovered it years ago. There is a short learning curve to using this tape. Check out some youtube videos by physical therapists to learn how to better use it. Also be careful because I can already tell it's very easy to inhibit muscle movement with this tape. That could make it very easy to pull a muscle or even worse. It feels almost like an ACE bandage without having to actually wrap anything around the shoulder. Three 10 inch strips gave TONS of support to my "loose" shoulder. It's very sticky and adheres to clean shaven skin VERY well. Clean and shaven are important if you want this tape to stay on. The sticky factor will gum up your scissors badly when cutting and trimming this tape to size. It makes for rounding off the corners of your strips kind of ragged. That's why I gave 4 stars. I give the pre-cut roll 5 stars because it does everything like it should without the mess, and if you put it on properly.. the ends don't peel up like this uncut roll. Keeping the corners rounded off helps to keep the tape on also. I will definitely stick to pre-cut rolls. I put a strip across a bad bruise on my wife's calf and the bruise healed much more rapidly than normal. This tape will stay on through plenty of sweat but it will start to come off in a long hot shower. The shower is the easiest place to take it off. I will be using this tape from now on instead of some of my braces and wraps for a number of body parts. Thanks for reading!

You don't need to be in the NFL to use this.
This stuff works. You just have to put it on right. Watch all the videos on their website. Before i left to go on a long bicycle trip I watched videos that was relevant to the most frequent strains and injuries i would encounter. It paid off, I was like the team medic. Slapping tape on everyone. This stuff really helps with recovery time. As well as providing support. I always have this with me when I travel now, I put it on my ankles for support when i'm walking around in foreign city's. As well as having it on my lower back if i'm standing all day and carrying a backpack.

Something's helping!
Knee pain has been a major limitation to my running. I've been to an orthopedist, who saw nothing wrong, yet the pain intermittently persists. Since I don't know whether it's the orthotics, the supplements, the icing, the physical therapy, or the knee straps which have kept things manageable, I have continued to utilize all these methods. The knee straps, however, have been problematic because the running motion causes friction and chafing at the sides of the knees, so I sought an alternative. While I was skeptical, KT tape seemed worth trying, and I'm glad I did. It provides just as much support as the knee strap without having to have anything rub the sides or back of the knee. Since the velcro on knee bands does wear out after a number of uses, the KT tape is not that much more expensive. While I know people who keep the tape on until it falls off, I wouldn't recommend that, because the tape can irritate the skin after a few hours.

Waste of money
This stuff is worthless. I got it for shin splints. I used the tape just as it said to for shin splints. It was a pain in the ass to put it on and it doesn't stick whether the ends are rounded or not. Aside from that, IT DIDN'T MAKE MY SHINS FEEL ANY BETTER! To me, this tape is junk. Maybe it works for other people, I know some that swear by it, but I will never use it again. I think I'll spend a little extra money and compression sleeves for my shins.

We were skeptical, but it worked for us...
After suffering for months with a hamstring injury that just wouldn't heal, it was suggested by a licensed physical therapist that my son try this tape so that he could participate in his senior soccer season. She trained me to apply the tape and while my son and I were both very skeptical about its effectiveness, we were amazed at how much better his hamstring felt when the tape was applied. It does not prevent injury of course, but for my son, it made it so that the hamstring felt supported and therefore, far less painful. He wore the tape with a compression sleeve and the 2 things together allowed him to finish his soccer season successfully and without further injury. We tried both the pre-cut and the roll of cotton tape and oddly enough, we had much better luck with the sticking ability of the roll. My son could wear the tape from the roll you cut yourself for 3 - 4 days in spite of intense practices and showers without any issues. The pre-cut tape would start to peel up after 1 day. He did shave the area with a beard trimmer and we would clean his skin with an alcohol wipe before application. I would definitely recommend this tape, but I would suggest using it under the guidance of a medical professional, therapist or trainer. It is not a substitute for necessary medical care or treatment, but it made such a difference in my son's pain level that I highly recommend giving it a try.

I'm not happy with this particular brand of KT tape. I was really anxious for this item to arrive as it had been recommended by my physio so on the day of arrival, I opened the box and cut the strips to size to place onto my foot/leg. I had previously watched the utube video to ensure I was putting the tape on correctly so I knew what I was doing. Unfortunately, the first piece of tape would not stick to the arch on my foot even though I had held it in place, so I discarded this piece and started again. The second attempt was a little better but the tape kept peeling off my calf. I decided to put another piece of tape on to secure the first piece - this seemed a better solution. I did the same with the other foot / leg. I wore the tape(s) all day but by the end of the day the ends of the tapes were peeling off and would not stick back to my leg and foot. I persevered with it all (having to wear socks to ensure the tape stayed on) and had a shower the next morning to find that all the tapes peeled off and I had to start again. This particular brand of tape does not appear to be the same as the brand identified in the utube clip with are pre-cut strips and seem to adhere much better and apparently stay on for 7 days !! I have used all the tape over the xmas period and now need to buy some more, but I won't be going for this brand again.
