These are very versatile noodles, quick cooking and can be used in stir fry or soups.
These noodles cook very quickly and work very well in soups and I prepare a lot of stir fry dishes and these are nice to I don't have to use rice all the time. I will buy again and again.

Not real ramen noodles, but thin wheat noodles: somen or angel hair
Soluble carbonate in the ingredients label suggests an attempt at Japanese-style ramen with their distinctive texture, springiness. However, these cook up and taste like simple thin wheat noodles -- somen, not ramen. US pasta makers would label them "angel hair." In plenty of boiling water, they cook in about 3 minutes. For dried noodles with a much more Japanese-ramen texture and flavor, I recommend Simply Asia's, though they're pricier: B0728J3R5Q Simply Asia Japanese Style Ramen Noodles They're dried in tangled form, in blocks or bricks.Japanese somen, which these Chinese-made Yumei noodles closely resemble, come packaged in ribbon-tied portion-sized bundles (around 80-100g per Japanese bundle in my experience). They cook quickly, and customarily are then rinsed and served, often cold with dipping sauces, or occasionally in soups. They can be quite pleasant. These Yumei noodles come bundled precisely like Japanese somen, but in slightly larger bundles: six 133g (4.7 ounce) bundles to a package. Depending on how they're used, one bundle could serve a couple of people.I cooked them up, drained, and added to a clear Chinese soup I'd just made. Like another reviewer here, I noticed they soaked up hot soup broth, though the result wasn't unpleasant. (This "swelled" the apparent volume of noodles.) Another batch performed well in a simple cold noodle salad: Cooked, drained, chilled in cold water with ice, drained again, and dressed with diluted Kikkoman "Memmi" B0728J3R5Q Kikkoman Memmi Noodle Sauce Concentrate (a very handy roduct, by the way), chopped scallions, and a touch of sesame oil.For best results, don't overcook them (in fact, undercook if you'll be using them hot or warm), rinse, and toss with a sauce or else chill in ice water, drain, and serve cold with dressing or dip, like Japanese somen. Which, basically, they are.

Ramen is actually Somen
Having grown up eating all kinds of noodles I'd just like to say: These are some of the best-for-their-value SOMEN noodles I've ever had. The problem being that they aren't RAMEN noodles.

Not really ramen noodles
These are NOT ramen noodles. They lack the high ph balance to create that springy texture. More like regular pasta noodles.
