I picked up this lice-repelling shampoo and conditioner for my 3- and 4-year-old when both of their schools had lice outbreaks going around, and I’m honestly so glad I did. We’ve been using it consistently and so far we’ve stayed completely lice-free 🤞 which gives me so much peace of mind. It actually works really well as a regular shampoo and conditioner too — their hair feels clean, soft, and easy to brush afterward (which is a big win with little kids). The smell is really nice and fresh from the rosemary, tea tree, and citronella, but it’s not overpowering. If you’re a parent trying to survive school lice season, this has been a really good preventative option for us. 👍🧴✨

I have 4 children and I've had to fight these nasty little bugs quite a bit lately. Three of my kids are school age and all three has been sent home from school 3 times already this school year! Sad to say, but I think that these lice are infesting their school, but the school personnel haven't done anything about this problem at all. The way they treat the poor kids that get caught having lice is just cruel. They single them out like they got the plague and that's just not fair to the children, when it's not their fault and they are too young to be able to help it. I have treated my kids with all of the over the counter mess for lice and used the lice checklist (cleaning bedding, etc). I'd keep my kids home for the 3 days they mandate they remain at home, then I'd bring them back in to the school nurse to get cleared to go back to school. My kids would go maybe about 2 months without any itching or anything, then all of a sudden, here is the school nurse calling me again to go pick them up, with yet another case of the lice!!! So I scoured Amazon looking for the best products, based on reviews and first tried Lice Killer. It is another great product! Then after I got that in, I was still browsing for something to keep the lice out. That's when I saw Fairy Tales. I ordered the shampoo, conditioner, conditioning spray and also Happy Heads Bye Bye LiceTreatment Family size box. The Happy Heads works amazing! It feels awesome on your head and it kills all the lice in 20 minutes!! I followed up with the Fairy Tales items and ever since, not one lice has been back!! My kids and I wash our hair with the shampoo and conditioner every night, and in the morning before school I spray them with the conditioning spray. So glad to finally find these wonderful products that work so wonderful, and actually do what they say it does. It smells really great too, so your kids don't smell funny as with the other products. Yes you can still use Rid or Nix or the others at WalMart but if you really want to get something worth the money and all your hard work, but not have to spend hours wokimg to get rid of them, then I recommend these products. I'll always make sure I have these in my household just in case, and to keep these nasty bugs away from my family!!!

I absolutely love this shampoo and conditioner set for my kids. All three of my children use it, and it has been great for them. It smells amazing, and the ingredients are really good, which is very important to me. It leaves their hair clean, soft, and shiny every time. Overall, I’m very happy with this product and will definitely keep buying it.

Our school had a lice outbreak this winter so I ordered the shampoo and conditioner to go with the rosemary repell spray we already used. My son has shoulder length hair and did not get lice even after telling us a month after the fact that his locker buddy told him he’d had lice. My daughter’s hair is so long she can sit on it. No lice. This is also the best detangling conditioner we’ve used on her. I started using it on myself and it is the only shampoo/conditioner combo that has nearly eliminated the frizz in my hair. As a plus, my kids and I love the smell. Would definitely recommend.

We are so thankful for prophylactic products like this! We entered August with a huge community wide lice outbreak and I, like many other families, freaked out! I found this product and immediately told all of my friends. Unfortunately for many of them, they already got the lice, but fortunately for us we were able to use these products to protect our girls (and ourselves!) and we never got lice. The scent is a bit medicinal, but more in a Vicks Vaporub type of way. I think if you're into "natural" products and scents, then this won't be an issue for you. I also liked this set of products because it wasn't full of harsh chemicals and it can be used daily to prevent lice and isn't just something you use once you've already gotten lice, nothing like being proactive especially when it comes to these relentless, nasty bugs. Eww! I did miss the typical shampoo (more perfumey) scent while using this, but it was definitely worth it because we made it out lice free! The quality of the shampoo was great, I did feel like the conditioner was a little less creamy and useful at detangling than what I'm used to in a typical conditioner but overall I would definitely recommend this product!

These are wonderful soaps. The only shampoo and conditioner I've used on my young kids for the past 5 years (past baby stage when they actually had hair). One has short straight hair and one has long wavy hair. I remember at first being unsure of the smell bc it isn't a conventional shampoo smell but it is pleasant and I do like it. Kids like it too. The pumps included with the big bottles are so helpful when the hands are already wet. Kids can easily pump the soap themselves. Shampoo does not strip hair to a brittle texture, and the conditioner is the right balance so it does not leave the hair oily or weighed down. I also use the leave in conditioning spray to help comb through hair and as a right before school lice preventative. There have been several lice outbreaks at their daycare / school classrooms over the years, with best friends and desk mates getting it but not them. They avoided all but 1 instance (superlice in daycare classroom, transmitted via stacked cots), so I won't say it's a sure thing but I'm certain it has helped us avoid multiple lice battles.

I bought this for use with fleas rather than lice, but I can also feel comfortable it is helping to stave off any potential lice infestations from school. We just bought a new house, and unbeknownst to us the house came with a persistent flea infestation. The previous owners had said that their daughter's boyfriend's dog occasionally was in the house, but after talking to our new neighbors it turns out they actually had a kennel going on here - 'they had too many dogs' it has been said to us. Grrrr. We have no pets, so these fleas are loving us and our children as their only food source. I am doing everything possible to get rid of these (insert expletive) critters. This shampoo and conditioner, along with the spray by the same company does seem to help keep them off the hair of my crawling baby - and my preschooler who suddenly decided he likes to writhe and roll around on the floor in our new home. I can't say for certain exactly how effective it is because I'm not running a lab test for fleas, and there are many factors involved in the fleas ability and willingness to feast on my children. This isn't advertised for fleas, but I *think* it helps to repel them. I can say with certainty that it does smell nice (not a heavy or sickly perfume smell, very light and botanical), and I've bought other shampoos from this company before for my children because I know it is gentle and won't cause any adverse reactions on their sensitive skin. It also makes me feel better, like I'm doing something proactive for my children to protect them from the blood suckers, as I'd rather not coat them in DEET. Until our other physical measures for flea control have eliminated our infestation, this helps gives me some peace of mind, and gives my children fantastic hair. My four year old has thick, long-ish curly locks, and they look great! My one year old has very fine, straight hair - it looks and smells equally fabulous. No tangles.
