Perfect in a 2016 Toyota Tacoma
Picked up this amp to run with the skar 10" sub made for the Tacoma. Perfect combo! 400 watts RMS at 1ohm paired with the 1ohm 10" gives excellent bass and perfect fit! Amp fits nicely under the back passenger seat storage, I just moved the jack that was there to the other side, ran the amp power under the passenger side door plates, under the carpet into the storage area. Ran the RCA under the driver side. Great little amp for the price!

Works great a t for kicker 10" comp sub
Bought after I was gifted a kicker 10" comp sub and it works great, even with it mounted in the rear of my trunk with no ventilation and plenty of dust

Big bass, no thermal issues, quality sound
After several amps failed and overheated within 45 min this one goes for hours. No thermal shutdown, bass is crisp and clear, just impressive all the way and for this price is crazy.

Great amp for a medium power application.
Overall a good amp. Kicker quality I’ve known and loved over the years. Solid amp for those are just want to power a subwoofer and don’t care to let everyone on the block know. 2 personal gripes I have with this amp that lead me to knock off a star. 1. 1/8 aux cable style remote knob. They are known to pull out if pulled. Also keep in mind that the knob is not included. 2. Power and ground use fork terminals. This is more preference. While fine on smaller wire, im just not a fan for the 8awg power and ground terminals. That’s just me though.

I like this amp.
Using to power one ten inch sub, doesnt even get warm but I dont listen to bass intensive music. Biggest selling point for me was the voltage for high level inputs. My inputs are from an Amp/Dsp and I dont even have to turn the input gain down in DSP. Strong signal made a clean input and the amp take it well.

Great Amp Paired with a Kicker CVR 12" 2ohm DVC Sub
Installed this in my 2016 Ram 2500 Laramie Power Wagon using the Rockford Fosgate RFI2SW high level RCA input adapter. These amps use Kickers FIT+ (2019 and up) technology so it can accept up to 40VDC high input signal and does not require a LOC and uses DC offset for remote turn on. This little amp is rated @ 525 Watts RMS so is perfectly matched for the sub I used. Kicker never disappoints! Extremely easy to install and works very well in this setup. Use full spec 8AWG wire for install to avoid overheating and blown fuses! Highly recommended!

Powerfully, small, class D
Lack of functions but powerfull. Will drive 2 12s and only for 10 inch and above. My application requires a 2 channel option as I'm running 6.5 in doors. Kicker is well built but over priced and you will pay for name. Kicker has good budget amps though like this one.

I would only buy this if you run at 1 Ohm. At 1 Ohm I give it 5 Stars, at 2 Ohms I give it 1 Star
...Average 3 Stars. To start, I did a lot of research before deciding on this amp and at the time of purchase I HAD one requirement, it must be 1 Ohm stable. This later changed so I will give my review from 3 different perspectives and setups with a description of each. Setups: First - Rockford Fosgate DVC 2 Ohm Sub running the amp at 1 Ohm. The sub was capable of running at about 300 watts RMS so the amp was running as such Im guessing based on my settings and was not near running at full power. If I had a more capable 1 Ohm sub I may have continued to run this amp BUT Im glad I didnt because I found its fatal flaw by switching to the next setups. Which I will get to soon. Bass was clear and precise, no real complaints with the amp itself but like I said, ignorance was bliss. Second - I got a screaming deal on my favorite brand JL Audio sub in a model I hadnt tried before so I jumped on the chance. I hooked up a JL Audio 10TW3-D4 DVC 4 Ohm sub running at 2 Ohms. Now obviously the amp drops in power delivery which I expect but I also wasnt running it at max remember. I set the Gain properly and the rest of my settings stay the same. Im using the Kicker Remote Bass Control knob to adjust on the fly but my stereo settings stay the same. I start with 0db of bass boost and hear nothing, gradually increasing to songs I know well and honestly after 2db all the way to 6db which is the max on the dial there is ZERO increase in bass output to my sub and it is flat out disappointing. I mean my 8 inch Rockford was blowing this JL sub out of the water and Im thinking ok, could this really be the sub? Could A $329 Retail sub really suck this bad? I mean Im putting the recommended RMS wattage to it, Its in the recommended box size, the only thing is that its a shallow sub but that couldnt make that much difference could it? It was JUST OK on deep long notes that are commonly found in rap music but EVERYTHING else was weak. Since I had never tried a Kicker Amp and I have had a lot of JL products over the years I decide to just try another amp that I have had before just to be scientific. That leads us to final setup. Final Setup - I acquired a Rockford Fosgate R500X1D because I have had this amp a few other times and its a great amp that I would have gone with again had it been 1 Ohm stable to start. Now before people start saying well that puts out 500 watts RMS @ 2 Ohms and the Kicker only puts out 300 watts @ 2 Ohms so its not a fair comparison, yes I know and I get that and that is my point! IF YOU ARE RUNNING AT 2 OHMS BUY THE ROCKFORD FOSGATE R500X1D BECAUSE ITS BETTER AND CHEAPER TOO. There now that that is out of the way I can actually get to what happened and why I say that. I kept all stereo settings the same and started the RF amp at 1/8 turn Gain and 3db Bass Boost and HOLY COW. That sub acted like a completely different sub already, it could pick up the higher bass notes and play them fast just punching away like a happy little sub. I actually had to turn my bass settings down on my factory stereo to tune it correctly but ultimately Kicker != Rockford Fosgate or other brands at least with this amp. I am not running the RF amp at full power, not even close and it walks all over the Kicker which sucks because I really really wanted to LOVE this little Kicker amp and have a new brand added to my list.
