The installation instructions leave a lot to be desired - no written instructions, small illustrations, missing references to specific parts. After getting past that, however, with a bit of thought the build is almost intuitive. Don't force anything - if properly positioned, the installation is easy. Also, as noted in another review, if you want to join two units to create a double cabinet, it's pretty easy. Just temporarily install the side fasteners on the sides that will be joined (one on top and bottom each) then remove them after the rest of the cabinet is complete. Push two together, put the bolts through and voila, double cabinet! Great value, will be buying two more. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Good cabinet, but assembly instructions make Ikea look good *by B***R on Reviewed in the United States on October 18, 2019* Seems like it will be a good cabinet for paint storage. Only time will tell. Like another has said, the bottom lip makes it tough to get larger items on the bottom.I had to un-do my installation not once, but TWICE, due to the instructions being horrible.#1: Part D is listed as "Peak Plates", which are the top and bottom. It wasn't until I had the 2nd almost fully bolted on when I realized that the two part "D" are NOT created equal. The one that it to be used for the TOP has the "Homak" label on it. If you put that "D" part on the BOTTOM, the name will be upside down. Maybe not a big deal for a garage cabinet, but if you're anal like me, you'll want it right-side up.#2: OK, this one didn't trip me up, but other have mentioned it, so for completeness' sake:The two sides ("Cheek Plates") and the back ("Backboard") have the shelp support ridges in them. So make sure all the elements have them on the INSIDE and pointing the same way (up or down).#3: The aforementioned "Peak plates" attach to the sides/back, but there's no real indication of which side element goes to the inside of the cabinet, and which stays on the outside. The way I did it (which appears correct) is that the rear (longer dimension) of the top/bottom goes OUTSIDE of the backplate...while the sides go INSIDE the side pieces. So, if you're looking at the side straight on, you'll see only the side plate on both the top at the bottom...however, if you're looking at the rear, you'll see the ~1" lip of the top/bottom overhanging the back plate.Assembly should've only taken me 30 minutes, but due to these do-overs, it took me over an hour. Here's hoping I save someone else that hassle! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Good cabinet for the price but long assembly *by I***M on Reviewed in the United States on February 1, 2015* The good news: $100 gets you a nice looking, very sturdy wall cabinet with a well functioning lock.The bad news: Directions are bad, there are some QC issues and working alone it took me two hours to assemble and hang - a second person would have saved considerable time.The long assembly time was due in part to a large quantity of nuts that need to be held and tightened, many in locations where a second pari or hands would be very useful. And in part due to bad directions. I can't help you with the second pair of hands, but a few hints on the directions- Shelves are held in place by the internal slates, even though they are drilled with holes. When you assemble, be sure the slates face up- Top piece, contrary to what the directions indicate, must go on last- The unit ships with lag bolts, not the indicated wood screws, to hold it to the wall. Be sure you have a rachet and/or a driver bit for your drill. And you'll really want an electric screwdriver for this job.While the cabinet is just fine, you can see some weak QC in a few places. First of all, the bag contain nuts was broken, scattering them all over the box. Also, the company's logo was applied at a strange angle to the front of the cabinet, suggesting someone on the line really wasn't happy. And lastly, one of the lag bolts broke of when I was tightening it.
