GoPro: How To Use The GoPro HERO 8 Black

I started on GoPro videography as a zero. Extremely upset with the complexity of my Hero 8. Basic functions like uploading to watch my videos on the tv in the living room was a couple hour chore/goat rope.This book made sense of it all. It’s easy to read and teaches you how to set the camera up for each unique situation. It’s well worth the $8 you spend for it on kindle. The amount of frustration it saves you is incomprehensible.I didn’t have enough working knowledge for the YouTube videos to help me. Once I read this book, I had enough knowledge for the YouTube videos to enhance my video progress.

This book is well written, I read it cover to cover and it has a lot of things in it that I never saw in the all of the youtube videos that I have watched. The choice is either many hours of youtube videos or 3 hours of reading this book for the same information.

At first I purchased the Kindle version because the sample showed that it could be printed and I wanted this book as a reference for when I'm out and about. Once purchased the print option was no longer available so I returned it and bought the hard copy. It's great for a newbie like me who wants to see how to do something quickly. Just look it up in the index and find the instructions. I wish it added some specific options like; If you want to take a time lapse over night, modifying the time a time lapse video runs, etc. Just some quick real world additions would be nice but the book is still a great tool to have on hand.

I loved his video with all the info, so I had to have the book. Nice to go back and review

Seen them all. THis is the ultimate guide for Hero8 Users. In depth how-to and set-ups for nearly all active sports, vlogging and marketing videos. None compare in clarity and form. Money well spent.

Am still reading this, finding it very helpful! Procedures are detailed and explained in an easy-to-follow format. If you message the author, he actually replies! So if you need a helping hand w/ your GoPro - this is the book for you:)

The GoPro8 is the first GoPro I have purchased and I had no clue how to use it, so I bought this ebook. This ebook is fantastic and guides you every step of the way in how to correctly setup your camera for different filming conditions and the best settings to use in each condition to get the best quality video. If you want to get the most out of your GoPro8 I highly recommend buying this ebook.

I fly RC Planes like the glider in this photo and there are several tips in this book that will help me a lot depending on how well the camera actually performs.But, I was hoping to see a little more on use of the camera in a specific mode with it mounted on a hatcam taking Videos and Photos of the an RC plane in flight, a case where it's impossible to see if the RC plane is still in the frame... especially when in NARROW mode and/or worse: when zoomed in..I need both hands on the Radio Transmitter sticks but am hoping I can get better results in the future. I was thinking perhaps I could mount my iPhone to the Radio and glance at teh GoPro Wifi App video intermittently.. but in the bright sun that won't work very well..Many of my videos show little more than a dot on screen since the plane is often so far away. I wish I could enable auto tracking of that object and or give a voice command to "zoom IN" or "zoom OUT"..I was glad to see his discussion of Editor s/w like the Davinci Resolve 16 I'm learning to use now, and I hope to learn how to do these things in post-edit instead, but did not see how in this book.Aside from that the kindle version is well worth it.. I DID learn a Lot and so far have only read 1/3 of it .. I've optimized my settings to use his.. and and skimmed thru the rest. I'm very happy but another thing I wish i could do is reach out via e-mail to the author and ask him a couple questions.. but there is no link to him to support that.

Of the three books on the Gopro Hero 8 currently available, this is by far the best. It is comprehensive, from initial set-up to editing and sharing, as well as being beautifully illustrated. There is a lot of detail on complex settings and discussion of the relative merits of different resolutions, frame rates and virtual lenses. As an experienced videographer but a newcomer to GoPro, I found this book very helpful as well as an entertaining read.
