Blue plates show wear VERY fast
We have owned Preserve bowls and plates in the past and have LOVED them. We bought a new set and went with blue this time. Previously red and green. Sadly, after a couple of washes through the dishwasher, there is some odd white marking on the plates. It looks like soap residue, but it is not. It looks like something has etched these white marks into the plate. Preserve support was fantastic and replaced the plates, but the issue started on the replacements within a few washes. I have even tried scrubbing by hand, and resorted to some harsh cleaners to try and clean off the marks. Nothing I do will get rid of it. I've ended up tossing half of my plates into the recycle bin as they got really bad.

Just O.K.
They are okay for cold stuff and snacks but not good for microwave or hot stuff off the griil.

Excellent, made in USA durable product
I am super happy with these plates. I bought 3 sets: red, green, and blue for our 3 Girl Scout Patrol Boxes. These plates have been camping many times and are holding up great. I am super happy that they are made in the USA out of recycled material and can be recycled back into new plates if they ever self-destruct (which I just don't see happening for a long time.) I also bought the cups and bowls from this same company, but since they don't carry a "durable every day" line of utensils, I managed to find made-in-USA (shockingly enough) utensils at Ikea that work really well with these sets. (More durable than the Preserve line of "on the go" cutlery.) I highly recommend these as every day plates for kids, camping gear for Scouts or families, and backyard party & picnic plates to keep on hand instead of disposables for smaller gatherings (the "on the go" line is more economical if you're having a big party.)Super durable, perfectly sized, in fun colors, and made in the USA out of recycled materials. How can you go wrong? Now I would like them to come out with yellow as I need to add a Yellow Patrol kit to my troop camping gear...

Great Plates
I was looking for plastic plates, for the simple reason that I live in senior housing. What difference does that make? It matters because my kitchen floor is concrete, padded by a whole eighth of an inch of linoleum. This means that china, stoneware, and Corelle all break on impact, leaving me with a million broken glass shards to clean up. You know what fun that is.Even hard plastics, like melamine, break when they hit my floor. These plates are great, because they're a bit flexible. They don't actually bounce, but they do survive being dropped or accidentally bumped off the minute counter space that is all that seniors are supposed to need. (Picture me rolling my eyes here.)If you have little ones who are apt to drop your good dishes or if you have manual dexterity problems so that *you're* apt to drop things (c'est moi) these are a really good choice. The fact that they're recycled plastic is an added plus- you can go green and save your best dishes at the same time.

Fantastic! Long lasting!
These are great! 8 years later (with lots of abuse from kids) they are still going strong!I bought a set of red and a set of green. We have had to toss a couple when someone microwaved something for too long, and they show some marks from cutting over the years. But I expect they’ll last quite a while longer.

Noisy (yes, you read that correctly)
Good size, nice depth, seem sturdy, BUT... The plates have a rough texture, and the sound of a spoon scraping over the bottom is bothersome. I tried a plastic spoon, but it didn't make much difference. I really wanted to love these plates, but they are going back.

I love these plates!
I just ordered two more sets after having one set for 2 years. The first set has been microwaved probably hundreds of times and I've never had any issues. We like them so much they're the first plates we reach for so I decided to finally get more. I have the red ones. I really don't see how people are having them melt. It boggles my mind. I even use knives on these and they're barely scratched. They're the perfect size for the whole family too so everyone can use the same plates, which is another great thing about them. I don't like using huge dinner plates for ordinary meals. I wash them in the dishwasher after each use and they've held up. I can't say enough good things about these. You can't beat them for quality plastic plates.

Please note that while the picture is a bowl these are plates.
Had I read the product description, I wouldn’t have been surprised to receive plates as opposed to the bowls in the product photo. Minus one star for lack of correct product photos, but otherwise the product is great.

Awesome plates!! Perfect!!
LOVE LOVE LOVE these! Use them for outdoor eating in the summertime. Plus you can send them in to the company to be recycled when they get too used up. Amazing company with a great product.
