Totally works! Very easy. Better than original
Totally works! Very easy. Better than original because this has a red light that goes when you push the button, so you can tell if it's even sending, and if the battery is ok. Programming the remote, actually programming the GDO is super easy. Just push 1 button & hold a special button on the GDO machine, and push the remote button 3 times. As a bonus, this new remote takes a better, cheaper, more common battery.

They Work
They work really well and were easy to program! Worth the purchase. The buttons were also durable and still holding up.

Works great
I didn’t think I could program a new remote since my opener was installed in 2000, but this works. The little instruction sheet was all I needed. So thankful for an inexpensive replacement.

Good Remote - BUT......
AMENDED REVIEW: After I started a return to send the remote controls back after my several unsuccessful attempts to program BOTH remotes to the same door, I kept trying to troubleshoot the problem and eventually learned that (my) overhead door opener that I was trying to program to the remotes was already FULL and could not accept any more than 1 additional code! As a result, I do not think there is anything wrong with the ACSTG Type 1 door opener and would definitely recommend their product. In the future, I also hope others will check their overhead door opener memory to make sure it is not FULL when trying to program another remote to it.ORIGINAL REVIEW: I received these 2 remotes in the same package and LOVED the ease and simplicity of programming the first one! However, when I programmed the second remote (to the SAME door), it erased the programming code to the first remote! This went on back and forth with multiple attempts untiil I finally came to the conclusion that I was only ably to program either one remote or the other to the same door." That's unfortunate, because these are nice remotes and work well with "Genie" and "Overhead Door" brands.

Remotes work perfectly
The old remotes for my Genie garage door opener model IS550 were failing because the rubber push buttons had deteriorated such that they would no longer consistently depress and release the buttons inside the remotes. I called Genie, and they do not sell replacement push buttons. The old remotes were GIT-1, ACSCTG Type 1, and part number 33068R in the garage door opener manual. The new remotes were easy to program - there were instructions included. The batteries were already installed so no need to open the cases. The new remotes have the disc/round batteries while the old remotes had cylindrical batteries (A23).I recommend these replacement remotes.

Works perfectly with a Genie garage door opener with ROLLING CODE SYSTEM
The ones I received (2) work perfectly. My Genie garage door system is the ROLLING CODE Series II. Maybe 20 years old. Remotes easy to program. Batteries included. Instructions in package followed to the letter & setup was quick & easy. Ignore the card leading you to a dead website. In case yours has no instructions, for Genie series II rolling code you must access door control button. Get a ladder so you can see what you’re doing. Mine behind plastic light cover. May have to loosen couple screws. Have the remote with you on the ladder. You need to push remote button 3 times to complete programming. 1) Push control button on motor housing, light turns flashing red. Within 30 seconds push remote button & light blinks. 2) Push button again & LED will go out. 3) Push button the 3rd time & garage door should activate up or down. You’ll be happy having these extra remotes.
