This book and it’s companion volumes by Rao were recommended to close disciples of a teacher of this tradition, Swami Veda Bhāratī, as an introduction to the structure, terminology and meaning of the Śrī Cakra and its relationship to the well known system of chakras in the subtle body. It gives an accurate account in English of the map; one must find a qualified teacher to walk the territory. This is a good beginning.The production qualities could be better, and, no doubt, will be as printing continues to improve in India. Don’t let that put you off.

I have a special love for the books published in India. The Indians worship geometrical drawing called Sri Chakra I have devoted all my life to. Unfortunately, we have to be ready to meet some errors in the book. For example, `surround', `construct', `design', `framework', `symbolism', `nature' from front flap have been printed with errors. Computer corrects it and doesn't allow me to show original text. After that I said myself that I shall not pay much attention to them at all. That was right decision:)Another unpleasant thing is photos. There are ten black-and-white photos of a strange quality and many drawings made without drawing tools. A little bird said me that Americans can make photos from satellite with licence plate on your car. Good. But this case is when photos were made from another planet at all. At least, Hubble:)However, I have read this book with great pleasure. I have googled anything could be googled one year ago, I flickred anything could be flickred and I didn't find answer about results of working mathematical algorithms of Sri Yantra at all.The Indians really worship Sri Yantra but few people in the world understand that its geometry is a challenge for mathematicians. Those few who understand the problem as usual don't know the solution for the whole class of such polygons. I was lucky in 1994 and 1995, I know the secret way to the mathematical core of the Sri Yantra and more difficult star polygons. And I know the special way to become invisible. You can see and argument the first, second, and third passage of this bad written private opinion about this concrete book, but if I repeat my favourite formula again -- I know the secret mathematical way to the core of Sri Yantra and MORE DIFFICULT STAR POLYGONS -- I shall become invisible.Do you think you see me now?

All the details you have ever wanted to know about the Sri Chakra as regards to mantra and tantra pooja, you will find it here. However the reader needs to have some previous basic knowledge of Tantra, yantra and mantra. This book has very layered information, and the layers will show themselves to you and reveal deeper wisdom only as you are able to penetrate those layers.Happy Reading. Happy assimilating. :)
