Easy swap for pull chain closet light
For years I've wanted to swap out the pull chain light bulb dangerously hanging down from the ceiling in our boys' bedroom closet. A reno of the master closet forced the issue because we need to puts lots of stuff in there. I found this idea for a motion-activated light, read the reviews and went for it. The replacement was easy (except for the tight space) given that I had an existing metal box and adequate wiring. The mount holes lined up with the 1967 fixture box once I turned the motion sensor 45 deg. to one side (the pics are from the right-side door). Easy activation with a simple hand wave, and the light is bright enough to light a 13 foot wide closet even with stuff all over the top shelf. We have sliding doors, so no worries about accidental activation. And it turns off in 30 seconds per the instructions. All told, it was about a 30-minute job including clean up. Very happy, and now no worries about snapping off the CFL taking a box off the shelf.

Perfect for my 2 little pantries!
I have 2 small pantries (closets) in the kitchen that had no lights. I knew I could run wires to power lights but couldn't run wire for switches. These lights were the perfect solution. When you open the pantry door, the motion sensor turns the light on! My wife loves these!

More convenient and wonderful than I imagined
I'm in the process of updating an old 1967 ranch style home, and when I purchased it about 3 years ago I was told by the appraiser that the exposed, pull string lights in all the closets were no longer to code. As there are no light switches for my closets, I was essentially stuck replacing these with another form of pull string fixture.I got to thinking that something motion activated would be ideal, and even went as far as getting a battery powered motion detection light bar... and it sucked. It barely lit the area and I had to wave my hand in front of it to activate it. And then it died. And its corpse remained in this closet until now.Having learned how to hard-wire electrical fixtures very recently, I was updating all the old fixtures in the house. A closet remodel has been on my list, and that pull string still bothered me a ton. I found this on amazon and decided to give it a try.Super easy install. Installs like most other fixtures in the sense you mount the ceiling bracket and then mount the fixture to it. This is the first I've installed where you just line up and twist it on, which wasn't too much of a hassle. I went and flipped the power back on, went back upstairs to my closet, and as I peeked around the bi-fold doors, the light came on.Since being installed, it does not seem super sensitive which I like. the closet is old, hollow-core bi-fold doors, and the light does not trigger once the door is opened, only once I lean into the closet like I'm going for something. The light is very bright, lighting up the entire closet regardless of the boards that could easily block most of this light. As far as when it turns off, I don't know. I'm usually long gone by then, but I'd imagine it's as described.I'm thinking about getting a few more of these for other areas of the house.

Very sensitive motion detector
I bought this to replace a ceramic socket with a bare bulb and pull chain in a hall closet. It was easy to install and is plenty bright enough. The only issue—the closet has bifold doors with a very thin gap and any movement outside the closet made the light come on. I had to tape a piece of paper to partially cover the motion sensor, not ideal but not worth returning the light. Just not sure I'll buy them for the other 3 closets I have.Editing this review and marking the product down to 3 stars. I am still generally happy, but the unit has a very faint glow when it is “off.” It’s in a hall closet and if the house is dark, the light can be seen from the thin gap between the doors.

Great light for pantry or closets
My wide wanted to change out the light in our pantry so we decided to go with and LED motion sensing light since she always has stuff in her hands. It was easy to replace the old fixture with this slim line LED light and she is delighted with the results. It senses when the door opens and does not stay on real long unless you are inside moving. Also this light is brighter than the 2- 60watt incandescent lights that were in there and the spectrum is about 4000K which is whiter(but not bright white) which makes all the products in the pantry easier to see. So far we have loved this light!!

Handy as a button on a shirt.
Our closet lights had a pull string with a porcelain fixture and bare bulb hanging down. This light is a great replacement for those. Easy to install. The motion activation replaces the string that is unsightly and breaks at the most inopportune time. Plenty of light and there's a "cool" thing about walking up to the closet and having the light come on automatically. Plus, there's the advantage of LED with the lower cost and less heat. I took a chance that this would be a good replacement. Knocked it out of the park. Very pleased with my purchase.

Replace ALL your manual operated light fixtures (pull chains/roller switches) with this!
Motion sensor is spot on. I replaced two pull chain closet lights with this product and added a third into my kitchen/pantry closet. Very easy to install, decently priced, and very bright! Light will stay on longer than 30 seconds if you are moving around. No false activations or flickering. Would like N option 30 seconds, 3 minutes, 5 minutes etc. But is so useful as designed not really that big of a deal. Pretty cool as soon as that bifold door starts rolling open its on before you can flip a switch or pull a chain! I have tried boy night and day/night options and they work flawlessly. It really wont turn on during daylight if night only is selected (unless gloomy day). These are so energy-efficient it really shouldn't matter. Pull chain lights are a thing of the past folks this is a reliable product. Hopefully it will last for years.

Great Porchlight
Placed two of these on the ceiling of a porch so there is an entryway light at the front entrance. So far they work well by illuminating when coming into range and staying on long enough to find keys and open the door. Initially I had some difficulty with the lights not turning off but that was rectified by placing the light in the correct mode. Quite bright they will make a good deterrent to anyone thinking they will sneak up on a dark house.
