something to spruce up the cubicle
I was looking at my cubicle at work last week and realized it needed a bit of redo.Since I can't post Dilbert 2.0: 20 Years of Dilbert cartoons (bad for the company's morale) and I was already warned about having a crochet calendar in my cubicle (that's not a joke - I had to take it home), what could I do to brighten up my little corner of work.So I hit upon it - Crocheted Flowers (Twenty to Make) . I have yarn, I have crochet hooks and my hands are still working. M's Ollis worked her examples in size 3 crochet cotton, but I prefer to work with yarn. These patterns are easily adaptable to using almost any weight of yarn, depending on how big you want the flower to be.So tomorrow I will be pinning a bright orange cosmos on my cubicle wall. It worked up quickly (I used medium weight yarn)and will be the first of my "garden wall" at work. I don't think I can get in trouble for that.I have read thru the instructions and the patterns are clear and concise.Other patterns look good, I'm thinking the clematis for the next one to do. This book is small enough to pop in a bag with some yarn and a hook. That way when you are sitting at the doctor's office, waiting to be seen, you have something else to do but read about Tom Cruise's marriage - to Nicole Kidman. They don't use large amounts of yarn, so you could work up a bunch from the yarn you have left from that other project. It is fun to make a project quickly, a nice break from some of the longer, more involved projects that I have going on.I recommend this book highly for crocheters wanting to make quick flowers. I think it is especially good for beginners but even old hookers like me can learn something new.

Pretty colorful flowers
I really can't rate this book yet. I'm going by the pictures & what I read in the book. I haven't started doing any projects, because I'm still working on another crochet book that I ordered.I'm not sure about the yarn in this book. I think you have to use the thinner yarn & I have only the thicker yarn from what I ordered for the Beyond the Square book. But I may just use that yarn & hooks & see how the flowers come out. They'll probably be bigger but that's ok with me.

Fun Little Book
This book has a fun little variety of flowers! There is a great amount of colorful pictures and detailed descriptions on how to crochet these cuties. I'm not as much of a fan of the patterns that utilize fabric as well as yarn, but others may like the look. I purchased this book for about $4, and I would say, I don't think I would have purchased it for any more than $10. I'm excited to use it for my future flower projects.

Twenty To Make: Crocheted Flowers
Love the brand 'Twenty To Make', it is full color and easy to follow directions on making flowers. The cover is glossy and the pages are smooth to touch, well worth the price. It's important to have the items shown in color.

Nice little book. Has good instructions. I particularly wanted the Foxgrove pattern.

Not what I expected
I am quite disappointed, the pictures in the book are quiet small and the instructions are given in us terms first and the in brackets in UK terms. This book is hard to follow if you are a beginner and seems like it's more a book for an advanced crocheter. The flowers in the book are not everyone's taste. I only liked one pattern tbh. But that's just my personal opinion.I wouldn't buy this book again I've seen much more detailed and nicer flower tutorials on YouTube channels

twenty to make
Another in this great series of little books. These are some lovely little flowers to make. The book is well laid out with the instructions and a picture of the flower and an alternative. you will need at least little knowledge of crochet before you make these flowers as although the instructions are clear and easy to follow there are no step by step pictures of what you are making and as a beginner you may find them hard to follow.I learned to crochet over 20 years ago but only recently taught myself to read a crochet pattern and they are easier that you think so give this book a try there is loads of information on the internet and youtube. you will be crocheting in no time.

A fun little book
I enjoy crochet but don't have a great deal of time on my hands, so this is ideal for when you have the odd 15 minutes to make something a bit fun.I was amazed how quickly I made the first flower. What I like is that they are not an exact science - you can make them with any wool that you have spare and get different effects, so it's great for using up left over bits of wool that you don't want to throw away. As I have very little money at the moment the flowers make great gifts that cost nothing to make if you have some scraps!
