Consecration to St. Joseph: The Wonders of Our Spiritual Father

To discover the not much talked about saint -- the greatest saint, after the Virgin Mary -- is a tremendous gift. This book is simple, straightforward, easy to read, and covers each of the key aspects of St Jospeph, as listed in the Litany to St Joseph. As a practical introduction to St Joseph and a programme of reading and prayer in preparation for consecration, this is a great book. It is not an acedmic approach but it is thorough on key aspects of St Joseph. It also includes a good section of prayers to St Joseph and some pages of artwork on St Joseph. I would highly recommend this book as a means to get closer to St Joseph, which, I have learnt, is an extremely important and fruitful thing to do.

As long as I can remember I have had a devotion to St Joseph, even though he is a humble saint and we don’t know much about him, I was always drawn to him. So I was so pleased when this book came out and could shed more light on this amazing holy saint. He really was a holy man and you can see why he was chosen to look after Our Lord and His mother. My husband and I had done St Louis deMontford’s 33 day preparation for consecration to Our Lady previously so we were familiar with the setup. The only thing I would say is on some days the readings were very long so (for us with little ones trying to squeeze it in at the end of the day) it was sometimes a struggle to read it all to keep to the 33 days. But it really is a great book and I am keen to read it again but this time take my time. But if you haven’t yet read it please do and ask this powerful intercessor to pray for you! God has answered so many of my prayers through St Joseph. He is truly the most holiest of Saints.

I started this book on the 16th of February as this is a leap year and finished on the 19th of March the feast of Saint Joseph. My mum and I both did this. It was extremely helpful and very interesting it’s a really in-depth book. Well segmented for the 33 days so it is possible to take it in and manageable for everyone. I really enjoy that Saint Joseph is looking after me and my family and my son. I always knew he was there and I knew that Saint Teresa of Ávila was really devoted to him. She named all her convents after him I suppose she needed him to take care of her in order for her to complete her mission. I didn’t have an in-depth knowledge as he was a great worker who wasn’t into self promotion. I feel like a know a lot more about him now. I have asked him to look after myself my family and my son. I have realised how vital he was as Jesus and Mary were protected by him. I really recommend this book you will not regret it. Helen

This book came out in January 2020, and it's release was providential to say the least. Now we are in the Year of St. Joseph, and since I've promised him to cultivate a devotion to him in thanks for getting me a new job back in May 2019, I think this is the perfect opportunity to start a proper, solid devotion to him. St. Joseph is a extremely powerful Saint. The only other Saint he ranks below is, of course, Our Lady, but he is above every other Saint. The artwork Fr. Donald commissioned which is printed in this book are exquisite. You can even buy copies of them. I'm am seriously think of doing so. To commemorate St. Joseph's Year, I am planning on buying a statue of him so I can properly honour him. I cannot wait to join the countless others who will be consecrating themselves to St. Joseph.

This book has been written in a time of great need and on a subject that has remained both within the shadows and out of sight of many. Fr Calloway has compiled for us a book that provides all we need to know and understand about the most important role that St Joseph had to play as the earthly foster father of our Lord Jesus Christ. St Joseph’s role has been brought to life in a wonderful way through this book. Along with detailing the many wonderful virtues held by St Joseph the book highlights the important role men have to play today in both the family unit and within society. We also learn of the devotions held by many of the great Saints and Popes throughout history to this wonderful man and how he cared and protected them through their devotions. I would recommend this book for all who wish to learn more about this quiet, steadfast, strong, loving and loyal Man, whom along with our Blessed Mary is an inspiration and guide for all mankind. I pray the intention of the book to consecrate many to St. Joseph will reach the far corners of the world and through this consecration many will strengthen their faith and many more will be brought back into the fold or our Lord Jesus Christ.

Ever wondered the kind of man St Joseph is and was - a man amongst men - a role model that all men should emulate and strive to develop his virtues. Wonder no more, Fr Calloway in yet another one of his masterpieces (this one called the Consecration to St Joseph) will bring the great St Jospeh to life and he will be too as he is very much alive in “spirit” - after all, he is, amongst having many other attributes, our spiritual father. So now we have our spiritual mother in Mama Mary and our spiritual father in St Joseph. And if our ultimate goal is to reach sainthood/holiness please God, so that we can see our Lord Jesus Christ face to face when we leave this earthly pilgrimage who better to have guiding us other than the Blessed Mother and Foster Father of Jesus. “Ite Ad Iospeh” (Go to Jospeh)

We use it for prayers

I was named after St. Joseph to whom I have great devotion. I am delighted to be making my Consecration to him and this book by Fr Calloway is a godsend. I am learning so much about this wonderful saint and can't thank Fr. Calloway enough for making this possible. I am recommending this book to all my friends. God bless you father and your ministry.

St.Joseph is my Patron Saint so after hearing of this book I immediately wanted it. I received it so quickly and I feel this almost instant connection to this book. I feel it is so right in my heart to even possess and gaze upon this book, it is written so perfectly and beautifully. I plan to do the 33 day Preparation and Consecration at least semi-annually. I immediately started this week upon receiving it, and will do it again starting Feb 15 so the Consecration day is The feast of St.Joseph. I have been reading this to my 3 month old son daily or with him in my arms as I read because I long to be even a smidgen of the father and protector of my family that St.Joseph was to his.
