Super cast net. Once I soaked it in fabric softener, it opened to the full 20 foot diameter rather easily. This is not a huge net but it is a large net. With the 1 ounce per radial foot of lead, the net weighs almost 14 pound once it is wet. Once you get used to throwing the net, you can catch a lot of bait in a short period of time.

This is a great net for catching shad or any kind of bait fish. check with you state regulations before buying because some states 10 foot is too big. This net worked great for me. Just took a little practice and i was throwing perfect circles. It is made of good quality and comes in a little bucket.

I ordered the Betts 10PM because I wanted to make sure I had a quality replacement. I've used a bunch of 10 ft nets over the years and this one was well short of 10 ft. the draw lines were probably for a 10 ft but the net itself was 1-2 ft short. I stretched it out and poked a hole in it trying to get it anywhere close to 10 ft. I do not know if this was a mistake during production or if they are consistently undersized. I am not going to take a chance so I am returning this one and trying something else. I use a cast net almost every weekend and depend on them for getting my bait. betts let me down. I also purchased high quality tape as we use deep nets. So I am also out all the time and tape cost for taping the net and I'll have to do it again when the replacement (along with more tape) comes.

Ok but stiff

Very lightweight mesh. Only use this if you will be over sand otherwise the nets snags and rips easily.
