Solid mouse for the price.
This is the best mouse for the price point, but it's not perfect.Pros:-Great brand-Solid construction-Great price-Enough productivity/macro buttons for average gamingHaving the two side buttons, and a re-programmable center button is really nice for a variety of tasks. When I used to play MOBA games it was nice to have a couple keys mapped there, but now that I am primarily working with the mouse I map Enter and Delete. The buttons have a nice tactile press, and hold up quite well.Cons:-A bit on the small side, acceptable for claw grip on larger hands.-Not Mac or Linux native friendly (you can still customize it)-Hard to clean/upkeepThis is the second time I've purchased a SteelSeries Rival mouse, as the first one became impossible to maintain after about 6 years of use. In my case, dust that managed to sneak into the mouse wheel area was impossible to remove without disassembly. After fixing that issue, the left mouse button's contact never quite lined up.

Great all round gaming mouse!
Sturdy quality, great grip, configurable functionality via the steel series engine - you can turn off the light and configure dpi stages for best gaming performance, and it uses two triple a batteries. The mouse does take a second or two to wake up when paired with Bluetooth connectivity after going inactive, but that's not a dealbreaker for me, as it helps to conserve battery life. The only mode I have not tested yet is connectivity with the wireless receiver.

Great, but the roller is a little weird
If you are looking for a solid mouse that is comfortable and not ridiculous with seven million gaming buttons this is the one. My complaints are that the mouse roller gets a little funky and doesn't function as well as other mice I've owned and also that eats batteries fairly quickly. You will want to get some rechargeable ones. I like that you can use the USB wireless receiver or link with Bluetooth. I do game, but I'm not very serious about it and don't need super-functionality. This mouse is good for that as well as general computing. The proprietary software is useful and can customize mouse responsiveness as well as the LED color. I would buy this again.

Absolutely recommend
Works great with my current build, awesome quality and feels really nice in the hand, does not have wireless connectivity or Bluetooth unfortunately, but the cable is more than long enough and provides good room for mouse movements

Don't expect it to last more than a couple years, its 2 year warranty reflects that exactly.
It feels great, the ability to change the cpi on the fly is great. The RBG lighting looks great in its default color changing mode. The software is pretty decent, you can modify a lot with it.Cons, just two (plus the new major con after years of use)...1. The back and forward buttons on the side are tiny as can be. It took me a good week just to get used to using them. Just saying they could be bigger in some way.2. The colors red and orange have just one shade compared to the other colors. You can tell this immediately when simply viewing the colors changing because it rushes right through red and orange. When you use the software to make the mouse just orange, it's orange, nothing wrong with that. But when you do the same for red, it's a light colored red. I personally wish to make it just a little more redder or darker if you know what I mean, to match my red theme of my PC theme. Just had to mention this because it's one of those little things that just has to exist on my new mouse.P.S. The other colors are insanely GREAT looking. Especially the shades of purple, pink, blue and green. You can set a custom fade loop with these colors and it's marvelous. I do recommend this mouse just don't overpay for it. $30 is pretty much its top dollar(imo). Possibly $35 at most.EDIT: After 2 years and 7 months, the right mouse button chose to randomly break off (see pictures). I did not abuse this mouse at all and barely even play games with it as I use a controller for most of my game playing. When I contacted Steel Series customer support about this all they did was offer me 15% off another Steel Series product and a "very sorry" apology along with the following..."Hey there! My name is Bir and I will be doing my best to take care of you! I genuinely appreciate your follow-up and patience regarding your devices. Because we appreciate you being a part of the SteelSeries community and choosing our products in the past, and that we care about you as a customer; we've attempted to troubleshoot your mouse, and since we couldn't resolve the issue and your warranty has expired, we're happy to provide you with a 15% off coupon. My response... "So your solution to the mouse breaking is to invest more money into another one for $3 less?Their response... "Unfortunately, we don't have a repair service at this time. Additionally, as you've stated, the mouse was purchased over 2 years ago which would place it outside of warranty and we would not be able to replace it. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. My response... "When will a repair service be available? Buying a product that randomly breaks in less than 3 years with 100% normal use is more than an inconvenience, it's a faulty product. Do you care that my review will reflect this and do you care if I mention exactly what happened in my review? Because this issue needs to be known, as well as the fact that you're doing nothing about it and that people need to expect their same product to become faulty after 2 years.Their response... "Hey there, Currently there is no known plans of any repair services in the future and I do apologize about that. Please let us know if you need any more assistance. My response... "Ah, I see. So you don't care. Sounds about right. Well, enjoy the bad review.Their response... I'll mark this case solved. Please feel free to reach out if you have additional concerns. GLHF"End of customer support ticket. This is as honest of a review as I can give. Buyer beware, this mouse is made of cheap plastic on the inside. Again, don't expect it to last more than mine did because I did not abuse it at all. So I easily expect a lot of people buying this mouse are going to be using it for aggressive gaming purposes. I'd look at alternative options.Yes, it was a good mouse while it lasted and I did get used to the mouse buttons on the side. It's just not worth it for the long term and Steel Series knows this.
