Robust, quality tool
KLEIN TOOLS Fish Tape, Steel Wire Puller with Double Loop Tip This is certainly a handy tool to have, it's primarily used for pulling cable through conduit, but it has many other uses too. I used one of these to to pull some cable through a large under floor space in a listed building where it worked very well indeed. Klein tools is an American company where I understand it is a well known brand, this product is also manufactured in the USA. My first impression of this was how big and heavy it was, as it holds 240 feet of metal fish tape it's not surprising that it's quite heavy. The outer casing and handle are made from a very tough high impact nylon material which should stand up to a rough working environment. The fish tape is made from high strength carbon steel, the end is hooked making it easy to attach a cable to it for pulling. What I find is a good feature is that on top of the fish tape is a measurement marking that shows how much of the steel is still remaining when pushed into a conduit. This measurement is laser etched on top of the tape every one foot in length. This particular tool has a working length of 240 feet which is a considerable length, you may never need this amount of tape but I always feel it's best to have more in reserve than none at all. At first glance this may look a little plasticky, but on closer observation it's clear that this is a sturdy tool that's designed more for professionals use. It certainly has a use at home if you are perhaps rewiring a house or putting some extra cable in. If you have a need for this then it should do the job well, the tape is certainly powerful and stiff - Recommended! CONTENTS: 1 x Fish Tape 240-Foot Thank you for reading my review, I hope you have found it helpful.

Great for pulling wires through difficult areas 👍🏼👍🏼
The Fish Tape Wire puller from Klein tools is well made and very easy to use. It has a range of up to 73 meters or 240ft which ever you prefer. Having used tools from Klein before I have always been satisfied with there quality and performance. This is designed to pull wires through those awkward places like ducts and conduits or even in tight spaces like cavity walls or attics. I’m planning on rewiring my home network as I want to upgrade all my cables to CAT8 which will mean some awkward places like my attic will come into effect and this product is definitely the solution to my problem. 👍🏼

Quality tool
The wire itself is a good gauge and achieves a pretty good balance between flexibility and rigidity but it's only really of practical use in fairly straight runs. You'll struggle to get this to go round more than one or two significant bends or corners. That said it's extremely useful in situations you need to be a bit persuasive to get the fish tape through

It's not cheap but has saved so much time trying to poke cables through. I like it very much!
KLEIN TOOLS Fish Tape, Steel Wire Puller with Double Loop Tip, Optimized Housing and Handle, 1/8-Inch x 240-Foot 56334, Orange/Black The product. This is a cable puller from Klein tools. This version is the 240Ft one. Design and quality. It is strong and well-made and will last a long time even with daily use. The lengths are marked in feet and inches being an American made tool. Once pulled out on a long run the cable wants to retract and it could do with a lock stop like many tapes have or someway of stopping it etc. The line is very strong and coated to make it slide well through conduits etc. In use. We have been pulling lighting cables through an underground feed to some stables and then through the maze of rafters. This tool has made the job much faster and prevented me having to did up the yard to put a new run in. It has saved many hours of work. It has always worked perfectly. Overall. A very useful tool for running cables. It is well made very strong and I would not be without it now. A great tool for running cables underground and through lofts.

Good for pushing
Great fish tape. This one is quite stiff so it's handy for pushing through gaps trying to find a route, although if that's not what you're after and you want something super flexible to run through conduits or something then this one is probably a bit too stuff for that. Horses for courses. Not cheap but it is good quality.

Pull cables easily
I will start out with the obvious for many - this is really a commercial grade product and is not designed for the amateur hobbiest. This is reflected in the price initially and in the build once you have it. Klein Tools are one of my favourite brands for cabling equipment, so is one of my go to brands these days. This fish tape is made to their usual high standards (forgiving the fact it is American - reasons below). It is a large orange plastic tool with a black handle on top. Inside is a coil of carbon steel tape, finished in a double loop, making it perfect for connecting to cables before winding back in. The case is designed to allow this to rotate easily and wind the tape back without kinks or damage. The top of the tape has laser etching on it to show how much tape is out and left to reel in. This is the part that belies its American heritage as it is in imperial only rather than metric and imperial that I would prefer. The reason for my drop of 1 star is that the tape, when fully wound in, wants to unwind a foot or so. There is no way to lock the tape in and small movements (for instance when driving with it in the back of the van) help the tape start to unwind out. It is a small thing but could mean the tape gets damaged at the end. Finally, Klein Tools make fish tape in various lengths. This one is large at 240ft (73m). This means it is heavy. If you never need to pull cable that kind of distance, one of the smaller tapes would be a better buy and also save money in the process.

Impressive quality.
This is one weighty and sturdy piece of kit. The case and handle are tough and well made. The reel of steel wire is easy to wind out and use and has just the right amount of stiffness and flexibility for all those awkward cable and wiring jobs. This is the second Klein Tools product I've tried out now, and I'm impressed. (There was no price available on Amazon at the time I write this review, so I have no idea if it's good value or not.)

Great for feeding cables on loft and tiht spaces
Very heavy larger than expected reel, this is the 240ft version and perfect for large cable laying and getting the new aerial install in the loft without needing to use ladders on both sides of the house to fix it. Has indicators every ft of the length you have, with a hook on the end to attach cables or whatever else you need, i suppose this could be handy for retrieving your keys if you drop them in a drain, a bit of a cliché i know lol. Quite heavy, has a really easy to reel in drum, i think is bearing centred, and a easy to hold handle.
