Good throw rope
Quality throw bag and line. The nylon line is a little stiff but I’m sure with some use it will break in. That’s the only reason for the 4 star. Would buy again.

Much better than regular string
This worked much better than I expected. In the past I had always used string or small rope tied to a wrench or other object. This works much better and I wish I had purchased it years ago.

serves its purpose
The rope works as a throw line, but can get tangled easy. I abandoned the storage bag on the fist day, and just use a cardboard box to lay the rope down to storage, to avoid tangles and knots. The collapsible storage bags that fold to a triangle would be beneficial. The weight was about the right size. Weight bag does show some wear after use on 7 Ash trees. It takes a lot of practice to get the rope/weight to work properly, hit the correct crotch of tree.

Save your money. Invest in better quality
For $20, i didnt know what to expect, but i did exoect better. the throw line itself is awesome. Very bright, not stiff, and doesn't tangle easily.(Js... you can buy a 1000ft same line for 10-15 on here....)The throwball on the other hand is a joke.If your a recreational climber who climbs trees for fun, it might get the job done for you, but professionals, stay far away from this!!! Not only is the weight not true, but its made cheap! My second job I used it, had a throw a bit to the left. I pulled the ball out of the tree but as soon as it hit the ground below, it was like the stitches on tge ball deteriorated, leaving me with 3 tiny pieces of fabric, and hundreds of bbs to pick up.****FOR THE RECORD, I USED THE SAME THROWBALL FOR 5 YEARS BEFORE I BOUGHT THIS ONE. IT HIT THE GROUND MANY MORE TIMES AND ALOT HARDER AND STILL HAS ALL OF ITS BBS AND STICHES*******(that's not a common occurrence with throwballs. I didn't even know these things could be busted like this one did.Even the storage bag isn't worth it. It's too small, difficult and time consuming to store the throwline properly. If you climb recreationaly, then this is perfect for you. Professionals, quit being cheap like I tried to, and go invest in some gear that really lasts

Very helpful when trimming trees
The small size of the bag and package at first made me wonder if I had made a mistake in buying this. However, after throwing the line with the weight over some tree branches, I realized just how easy it was to use. Then I pulled my heavy rope over the branch tying it to this line and was able to cut the tree branches with ease. Handy to have as part of one's tool collection if you need to trim trees.

Goes up in a tree like magic.
The rope was wound in a way made it hard to get unwound. When I finally got it untangled and the weight on , I was ablke to pop it up in a tree like magic. The line did not tangle or get stuck to the tree bark, and I was able to get my antenna (I am a Ham operator - NOT CB! - and was able to get things done. Great product for the money.
