The signal quality the antenna receives (RSRQ,RSRO/SINR) are effected by things like distance from mast or the weather etc. **Q: Can you confirm if this comes with attached cables and if so, what length, connector and gender?** A: Yes, it has two 5 meter cables attached with male SMA connectors. **Q: Can anyone give me pointers on how to find the nearest mast/s, please?** A: Depends on your Network provider. If you're with '3' you look on their website - but that's no use if your SIM is provided by O2, etc. This antenna is a directional one so gives best results where you have direct line of sight to the transmitter (mast). If the antenna cannot 'see' the mast then it will rely on a signal which is being 'bounced around' and reflected off other objects. A different antenna (multi-directional) would then probably give you better results. I suggest buying this if you have identified your network provider's mast and know that you can install it with a clear line of sight to that transmitter. Also bear in mind that different masts have different power outputs so if the mast you are aiming at has a low output no amount of boosting the signal will increase the speed you receive - you will be limited by the capability at the mast. Again check your network provider's website for mast siting, transmitter coverage and capability.
