Excellent sound with a few important caveats
Excellent for use with a backpack. I listen to music from the tablet in my backpack, both on my bike and on my legs, and all I have to do is cinch the headphones up a bit, direct the wires behind my head, and go. I use the memory foam ear tips, and I would never go back to the silicone, because, providing you're mindful of volume and don't damage your hearing or anything, sealing the ear canal is the way to go because it both keeps all the details in, and keeps outside noise out.Others are right, though, that the headphones' spaghetti cords chaff, bump loudly, and generally sound pretty irritating if you run, suddenly move, turn around, bend down, or even flick the cord. But I don't really do any of those things when I'm out with headphones on, and for leisurely walking, riding a bike, and sitting down to listen to music off my laptop, they're just what I need. With the cords on either side of my head, going back to my backpack, I get all of the noise isolation and very little of the cord noise.Pair these with an external USB sound card or decent mobile device, and you have pretty darn good sound. The flipside is that they definitely will reveal weaknesses in lower quality mobile speaker drivers.I say give them a shot at this bargain bin price (15 or 20), as long as you're not an especially active person. Coil them up and keep them in an altoid tin, like I do with all my headphones, and they'll last you a good long time. The "hardform" case JBL supplies is smaller and only actually hard on one side, so I've started using it for spare change instead.

Somewhat disappointed! Should've listened to the reviews!
Very good headphones. Sound quality is excellent for a $25 headphone. So is the bass. Big downside is that the cables are very heavy. This means that the headphones keep falling out even without any movement. Especially the left ear one because it has the small control box attached that drags it down even more. The small metal clip on the back that prevents the cable from ripping out of the headphones also adds more weight to the headphones. It looks like a solid sturdy headphone that will last a long time. However, manufacturers did not think the design through. I have tried to loop the cable behind my ear and basically flipped the headphones. This has somewhat helped but it looks pretty goofy. There has got to be some way around this.

I am hoping my pair lasts - sounds like many others report durability issues
I am a sucker for inexpensive IEMs. This was an impulse buy; I saw a pair in the warehouse deals for around 16 and thought, why not? I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. I am hoping my pair lasts - sounds like many others report durability issues. I have had mine for around 2 months and have been used a lot in that time - so far, so good.Pros:- Excellent sound stage- Nice bass - not bloated- Look very nice- Included case is niceCons:- Cable is too heavy- Major driver flex (popping sounds when adjusting on insertion)- Treble is a bit artificial sounding- Not a fan of the straight 3.5mm jack- mic not the best (complaints from others unable to hear me)- fit with included tipsMany people complain about keeping these in your ears and I can see this being a problem with the included tips. The drivers are a little on the heavy side, this coupled with the weight of the cable make them fall out rather easily when you move your head around. I was able to solve this issue with a better fitting comply foam tip. With the comply's employed, I can work out with this pair without fear of them falling out. They are relatively easy to drive and you should have no problems using them with your smartphone. The sound signature is V - shaped and fun in nature. The bass is boosted, but does not creep into the midrange. The treble is also prevalent, but not sibilant. Unfortunately, the treble has this artificial harshness to it that stands out to me.Soundstage is excellent and instrument separation is above average. I find these work great for gaming. If you can get these for a great price, I say give them a shot. You might be surprised what you get for the price.

great sound! I've had a set for about a year. Well worth the money. Mine have even survived going to work wadded up in my pocket all the time, and even a few cats gnawing on the cord. Most other headphones short out at the plug, or yank apart easily. these are tough! the tangle free cord is a bit bulky, but a time and frustration saving feature. I found more on sale here, and bought 8 sets for myself and gifts. I buy cheap $5 headphones to get the ear rubber pieces when I lose one. They are replaced easily. The foam "Comply" tips didn't fit me well, but I've got weird earholes. You need to get a good seal to get the best bass, which is really impressive with the great clarity of the mids and highs.

Physically solid but not very good sounding.
They fit fine. They work as advertised, but the sound quality is poor in my opinion.Pro: They are rugged and the single button works fine on my Android phone. The sound quality from the mic seems to be fine. They stay in my ear which is a problem with many in-ear models for me.Con: I do not like the sound of these. The bass is a little muddy although not over-emphasized. The bass also doesn't go as deep as I'd like. The mids are fine. The highs are muffled and also don't seem to reach very high. Overall they are among my least favorite in-ear headphones for sound quality and don't even sound as good as less expensive JBL models. I'd say they are probably fine for podcast discussions or phone calls, but I don't like them for music as they just sound muffled with a narrow range to me.
