I bought a tamper resistant torq bit size number 9 at Ace Hardware for $3. The bit would fit into a socket, but was able to turn by hand. There is also a rubber washer on the screw. After replacing the battery (very easy), I just hand tighten and have had no problems **Q: will this fit the skycaddie touch?** A: Open your skycaddie and see what kind of battery it has **Q: What size torx tip screw driver do I need?** A: I bought the replacement battery for the SGX as a spare.I have not needed it yet. I just tried to determine what size Torx tip is required and found it does not take a standard Torz tip. A friend replaced his battery on a SG2using a phillips driver. Looks like a SkyGolf special. Be careful to orient the plug correctly, as it will insert either way (the plug has no "key", so note the color order of the 4 wires).The 3 screws holding the back on requires a size TT8 tamper proof socket wrench, which cost less than $3 at a local big box home improvement store.The original battery is secured with double sided tape. Removal wasn't difficult, carefully using a flat bladed screwdriver.It took far longer to write this review than to remove and install the battery.Great price, saved me ~ $30 and took no longer than ordering a replacement battery from Skygolf.I'm very happy. Will update later to tell how the charging/battery life compares. I charged the original battery after every round, as Skygolf recommends.
