Best bagged green tea, and cheap!
I drink a lot of tea. Like 64+ ounces per day. And I can say with confidence, that this is simply the best bagged sencha I have found. Nice green color. Nice grassy aroma. Does not have much of the sweetness that is found in some higher grades of sencha (but hey, it's tea in a bag). And, its cheap, too! There is no doubt that taking the time to prepare a nice pot of loose leaf sencha can yield a far superior cup of tea, but If you drink a lot of green tea on the go, then this is a great deal.Remember! Do not use water that is hotter than 180° F (~80°C), and do not steep for longer than 2 minutes. I think that most of the reviewers that dislike this tea (or green tea haters in general) may have had negative experiences due to these factors. And do not squeeze your tea bag. It releases extra tannins, and makes your tea bitter. Ok, that is all. Buy this tea.

Green tea snob loves this tea.
I lived in Nagasaki prefecture on Kyushu Island, Japan, for almost four years. There, I experienced green tea. Upon moving back to the United States I was disenchanted with the green teas offered by big box stores. I stopped drinking green tea for years. Dark were those years and full of woe…My thirst for green tea was later re-ignited at a very authentic Sushi & Sashimi bar in a neighboring city. I began searching high and low for the perfect daily green tea, wasting a lot of time and money. I only recently found this excellent daily drinker, Maeda-en Sen Cha. The quality verses price is OUTSTANDING. To say this green tea is a value is a huge understatement. I share this tea frequently and seldom fail to get rave reviews. The flavor is very delicate as long as you do not steep too long. I usually get two cups of tea from each bag; the first cup I steep for 1-3 minutes the second cup 3-5 minutes…EDIT: It is also great for a variety of Kombucha called Jun that uses green tea and honey!I hope this helps you make an informed decision.~Mahalo

Maeda-en tea bags are superior
Flavor: Refreshing and clean. This sencha has the right taste without being overly bitter. These bags contain some matcha powder so the tea diffuses into hot water quickly and leave a smooth flavor. Definitely better than grocery store brands (Lipton, Bigelow) as well if you desire an authentic Japanese green tea. Even the Kirkland brand (made by Ito-en) tastes more like grass-water in comparison.Quality: I have purchased this 3+ times now and the freshness and taste is very consistent.Value: The price is excellent considered the quality of this product and it ships with Prime. Why green tea?If you are weighing whether to buy green tea or not, here are some key benefits:- High in nutrients and antioxidants like TGCG- Reduces blood sugar and inflammation- Improves heart and brain health- Caffeine ;)

Grassy and Thick, Very Nice!
This is a fairly thick green tea. Having tried a very huge number of other types of green tea, both japanese and domestic ones, I can say this is one of the better ones. I will say though, it is bitter and very grassy. Not all that smooth. Some people will like that, others will hate it. I like it just fine though I find the bitterness to be a bit much though it is very drinkable. But the quality is there. Just know what you're getting into when you buy this tea - the taste is worlds different from the typical green tea you will find at walmart. It is definitely an acquired taste. If you want a sweeter or smoother tea this is not the one for you. This is for people who want a thick, grassy, bitter green tea.

Definitely my favorite Green Tea thus far.
An absolutely lovely, and not overpowering tea. You can enjoy this daily for some wonderful health benefits and it's very soothing for any time of day. And it barely has any caffeine too. I would describe it as a mild, but very pleasant taste. A very good every day tea.

Advised my a wise old man
My sister in law knows a man in his late 80s that moves around like a man in good health in his 60s. She asked him what was his secret. He told her over a cup of this tea.

The Real Deal!
It has been a long time since I have tasted some authentic real Japanese green tea. I had just been buying American Green teas like Bigelow and Lipton brand. Well there is a night and day difference in the taste of this tea versus American brand teas. Not only is the taste better but this has far more L-Theanine than cheap American green teas. Plus you can steep a cup and then go back and steep the same bag again for a second cup. This tea is amazing tasting! I am hooked on I.

Wonderful green tea, great price
This tea is amazing! Best I’ve tasted in awhile and I’m not sure how to describe the taste. It’s nutty, green taste has almost a chocolate quality and smell and is not at all bitter or harsh. I DONOT squeeze the bag at all. Each bag gives me two large serving which I make one right after the other, seeping the tea bag for 2 minutes each time and dunking it up and down a few times. I drink the first cup hot and the second room temperature and both are equally great. Super delicious.
