XL. Pants will be plenty roomy and very long. Needed XL due to chest size. It fit my husband who is 5' 10" and 230 lbs. Depending on your chest size, you could size down maybe.

6’2 and 185 pounds. What size is best?

I would get the plus size. Standard would be too short and likely not loose enough for a layer under it. It is very thin material and almost see through. You can adjust it to fit smaller but you can't make it any bigger. :) Fun costume though for sure.
