On this packaging you can not see a good to date on it until you open it and look at the btry. Therefore since it is gtd for 5 years I believe the manufacture date was 2010. Using a top rated btry like Duracell we change smoke alarm btrys every 2 years contrary to the suggested 1 year time frame of replacement. We also check the alarm function every month.
