I really like my toaster. It does toast quickly which is awesome. You can put a single piece of toast in either side. I use it exclusively to toast gluten free bread. My only complaint is that the middle of the bread does not toast as nicely as the outer edges. However, that could be the nature of the g/f bread. When I broil g/f bread in the oven the edges burn and the middle stays pale.This T-fal High Speed Toaster is a far better alternative to broiling and much faster!! I have the same toaster in the 4 slice style for regular bread which is what prompted me to buy this one for gluten free toast.

the quality of the toaster was good , but sometime it doesn't toast as well as it should for the quality i expected out of t-fal toaster, the first t-fal toaster i got , i had for over 10 years, no problem. At times it didn't toast as well as it should an even times not at all, but most of the time it does toast good an even , but i have to say i am disapointed. I realy did expect better. Its well made an nice to look at. thats it.

Paid $8.00 extra for two day ship but that ended up being two days after packaging I guess. So it took longer than 2 days to get here. It was urgently needed !Bought this more expensive toaster because it was the same as my old one which worked perfectly for at least 10 years. Guess manufacturers don't want things to last that long any more. So much for Brand Loyalty. It must be flawed, as on setting 5 it barely toasted anything including bagel which were COLD on the back side, and BURNED both sides of bagel on setting 6 (the highest). Called Manufacturer, they offered to send pick up, return and then exchange. A lengthy process, and since it was needed ASAP chose to return to seller. Ordered B&D ($23) + or - got within two days. it is ok, nothing special but it does toast as advertised (This time I first checked out all the settings with cheap bread). Should have thought of that before! It burns on setting #3! and does both sides of bagel OK and bread also. item toasted is slightly apt to get stuck in toaster but easy to remove. It is longer front to back than the TFAL.

I was replacing a like toaster which was probably 12 years old or older and we loved it. This one does not work nearly as well. All of the wires do not light up when it's toasting so the toast does not come out evenly toasted. Also does not have as many features as my old one. I am disappointed in this one but I will use it until it quits. It was quite expensive and I think that I could have gotten a $20.00 toaster that works just as well. The one feature that I like about this one and influenced me to keep it is that it has a "lifter" for getting English Muffins or Bagels out of the toaster without digging about inside for the short pieces.

This toaster is beautiful in its brushed metal finish ... and it works as well as it looks! Everything is easy to use - the adjustment is simple and easy for really nice looking slices of toast. There is even a small lever on the right side to lift the bread out when it is finished toasting. Only one complaint ... the opening for the bread could be a little larger since my whole wheat bread needs to be pushed in since the opening is slightly too small for it to just slide in by itself; a small issue since with a little push it works anyway.

In the past 6 months I have purchased four (4) toasters to replace the one I had. This brand was recommended by my daughter and so this was the 4th toaster. I have returned the first three because they toast the bread unevenly. Perfectly browned on the one side, but the other side is barely toasted. I thought the T-fal was different but after 3-4 weeks it is beginning to do the same thing that the previous ones did. I could have kept my old toaster that after 12 years began to do that and would have not had the hassle or disappointment that each new toaster I have purchased. 10-12 years is an acceptable lifetime for a toaster made nowadays. I long for the old Toast Master toaster that my grandmother gave me which lasted me 30 years after she had used it for its 10 years of life. Is it the toasting thermostat that is the problem??? And in what country was that made in? Seems that when we farm out our manufacturing or use the cheapest innards possible we are bound for trouble.

This toaster looks and works as advertised. Very sturdy brushed stainless steel with easy to understand controls. I especially like the "bagel" button that you push so that the cut side "toasts" while the outer side just warms nicely. Someone else noted in their review that it launches the toast when popping up. We have not experienced this noting that their are internal metal brackets that lightly cradel the toast as it is pulled down inside, then gently releses the toast as it pops up. Couldn't be happier...and it has great lines ;-)

We love it!
