Best Filter of my life! I have tried so many!Hayward no longer "makes" filters so what you get at the pool store or online are Pleatco brand which barely last a few months. The All American Cartrige (on ebay) is terrible. It is the worst of all of them! This Unicel is the best out there. My filter PSI pressure stays the same for weeks on end, only increases a few PSI to indicate cleaning is needed. I have tried a lot of different methods for filter cleaning-- pool store filter cleaner, muriatic acid, etc etc. I will say that my favorite is to rinse off with hose nozzle, soak in soapy water (Dawn or Palmolive) for about 20 mins and rinse off. The other methods seem to damage the filter pores and filters clog faster thereafter.

This is my second purchase of this filter. Good product for the money. I’ll buy it again!

This was not the cheapest filter but matched perfectly the one that the chain store sells but for $50 less
