So, my suggestion is that you take the plunge and buy all of them. The quality of this box is fantastic. The tray that is part of the box organizes everything and includes dividers that neatly identify each and every deck. There is also a little "card box" that you construct that holds all of the little cardboard markers required for the game. For someone as stuck on organization as I am, this game is aces! Up to 6 people can play and although the game mechanic is amazingly simple, there is some depth to it and it provides a quick and entertaining game. So much so that when you finish, you really do want to try it again with a different set of cards. It provided a really fun filler game and everyone at the table had a great time. The art is fun, the writing is clever, it's easy to learn and quick to play. A round of play can last between 5-15 minutes, so we always have time to play a few rounds and make sure everyone has a chance to win. If you're playing with 3 or more, there is a bit of strategy in who you decide to attack, so you can gang up on one player or spread out your attacks to try and steer a particular player to victory (very helpful for parents of kids who don't like to lose). Even though this game is (I think) technically the expansion pack, I started with this one, and am glad I did. It includes a box that fits all of the cards, so I almost feel like this should be the base set, and the others the expansions. We loved it so much we ended up buying all of the other versions. This just gives you extra characters to choose from for a little more variety, but other than that no added rules.
