Hands Free Poop Bag Holder Leash Attachment, Tangerine

It does work well and a must have for any dog owner when walking outside . It really holds multiple bags of poop and allows you to have both hands free and makes a safer walk for you and your dog. Assembly is easy, it looks pretty cool too. I got mine in green and planning to buy 3 more for my 3 other leashes. The only thing I would like the company to improve on is the quality of the round white plastic and the main body of the product. If they can build it out of a BETTER QUALITY plastic, that is durable, strong, shiny material it'll be awesome. The plastic just feels weak and on the cheap side for $14.99. There's lots of types of plastics and I hope they will improve on that because this one feels very fragile that it can break with improper handling when trying to assemble. Overall, a must buy. UPDATE : 10/10/17 Long trail walks have been so much more comfortable and it really makes it so much easier because both your hands are free and can be concentrated on the leash or other things. I hope they do improve the quality of the plastic. Upgrade to a better one that has that strong, sturdy feel. UPDATE : 12/5/17 For some reason the white rotating outer ring got loose and the whole thing slid down on the ground, I took a look at the white ring and it snapped, it has a crack, now it will not latch back to the main body of the product. The rotating green part also got damaged when it hit the ground. I contacted the CEO of the Fifth Paw Stephen Longo and he was nice enough to send me the white outer ring and an extra one but I cannot use it without the GREEN rotating ring so it's useless. He also gave me a Fifth Paw Shirt. I was hoping he will provide a replacement of the whole product not replacement of the parts which I cannot use because I now only have the white outer ring but not the GREEN rotating ring. Because I really love this product, I just went ahead and bought another one in Tangerine and this time I'm going to strap it good so if it ever slides down, it will not crack.

I really liked this little gadget once I figured out how to put it together. (There were no instructions in my package) Unfortunately it was dropped ouf of a pick up truck when I moved and no one noticed until it had gotten smashed under a tire. I will buy this product again but while I had it I felt it was a pretty nifty item to have when I go on long walks and there are no trash bins to be found.

I purchased two of these items for the two leashes that I have. The first leash is a traditional leash. The second is the Freedom No Pull Harness by Wiggles, Wags and Whiskers ([...]). The Fifth Paw fit on both leashes, although the traditional leash took some elbow grease because it was a bit thick. I'm not sold on this product for a few reasons. When I put use this on the leash for that harness I mentioned before, I actually find that the bag of waste ends up bouncing around more, and sometimes becomes wrapped around the leash several times. When I've used it on the traditional leash, I've had problems getting the bag onto The Fifth Paw, and I've actually punctured a hole in the waste bag. I'll still try to see if I can work out the kinks, but it has been more than a month of use and it still isn't the best thing I've ever bought.

I bought this at the same time as a new leash. The design is genius! This guy has clearly walked a few dogs and found that carrying the filled bags in hand or pocket less than ideal. The rotating collar is brilliant! The instructions are less than clear, but I figured it out. The new leash is on the thicker side, and the fabric of it allows this poop bag holder to slide up and down, but I haven't had any problems with slippage. Some people will find it possible to use this holder with one hand. They would be those folks who can crack open eggs or shuffle cards with one hand. I am not one of those people. It replaces a plastic single clip holder that fell one day because the thin "velcro" strips holding it in place released unexpectedly and the clip was lost. This will easily be up to handling outings with my single dog. I hope I never need to carry as many filled poop bags as this can hold. This is also made of plastic, and everything is harder in the cold, so that will be the true test of usability. I am quite pleased.

I use a hands free leash known as The Buddy System, and at first, I couldn't get the end of my leash to go through the ring. I tried three times and was almost ready to give up when I managed to force the clip through the ring. After that, installation was quick and easy and everything slid into place. I have used it twice already and it works great. I have 3 dogs, 2 large and 1 small, and I have attached 3 bags of doodoo at once and the Fifth Paw doesn't slide down the leash but stays put where I installed it. You can position it anywhere along the leash but I like it high, next to my hip, rather than low next to my dogs. I figured the bags would be less likely to puncture if they weren't being drug through bushes. I like the fact that it spins because it keeps the bags from getting hung up on the leash I'm so glad that I didn't give up because this is totally worth it.

I am giving this product one star because It broke after the first use. I was running with my dog and had this attached to the leach, he got distracted and stopped while I kept running (not very fast or with much tension). It broke into five pieces and can no longer be used. I'm pretty upset because I had high hopes for the succes of this product. My suggestion is if you have a dog that is easily distracted, pulls in the slightest or needs to be trained on the leash, don't get this product. It is very fragile.
