It's a Streamlight ... Enough.Said.
I purchased this Streamlight PolyStinger LED Haz-Lo to stay in my truck, or when duty calls, to accompany us on roadtrips - particularly when traveling up to the mountains, and especially in the winter; or to the beach, especially when that includes the more desolate stretches.I knew I wanted something durable, big enough to hold onto, that wouldn't get lost easily, and that offered variable brightness. And above all, I wanted something in the Streamlight lineup. Also, I didn't buy this particular flashlight because I wanted or needed the brightest, furthest, whitest beam possible. Actually, one of the features that attracted me to it, was its ability to go very dim. Its bright mode is plenty bright enough for all practical purposes, while its mid-mode is a very serviceable brightness while offering good battery economy. Its hidden party trick however, is its ability to go very dim and extend its charge over 20 hours. This is what you want if you're stranded somewhere with an uncertain timeline for rescue - a dim mode that is about as bright as clear full-moon night that will allow you to navigate, perform basic tasks, and light up objects right in front of you.For its purpose (my purpose), the Haz-Lo is a fantastic option, especially with the two-pack car + wall charger. If you're looking for piercing brightness, look seriously at the Streamlight ProTac line - these lights serve a different purpose, and for that purpose, there really is nothing better that marries performance & quality from a USA-based company that stands behind their good brand.

Solid device, no battery swapping
First the bad...No momentary function. It won't turn on until fully clicked. Other Stinger series models have a momentary function, so this was a surprise. The battery can't be changed without removing the charge contact screws and pulling out the entire LED/switch module (unscrewing the tail cap reveals only a very tiny hole and instructions to open the other end). Running time is 4 hours on high and 14 on low (both times when regulation drops, not the fl-1 10% thing), so you probably won't need to swap batteries if this is a pure job light. But... come on, really? The spot beam is slightly darker in the center. Than the edges. Less than impressive. The good...The LED emitter is somewhat higher CRI than many other models. Not enough to brag, but not a horrid blue tint. Just good enough that it isn't bad.Including 2 complete chargers is very nice (one AC, one cigarette plug DC). Both clamp bases have power inputs for both types of cord, so you can "convert" them by buying another power cord. And this model uses the same charger as the shorter high-power Stringers. While the lack of momentary light is disappointing, the button has a reasonable solid click and just the right balance of easy to push but not by accident. There is a semi-secret ultra-low moonlight mode. It's in the instructions but not usually mentioned in web descriptions (push and hold about 10 seconds past the regular low mode). About a 5 lumen emergency night light you can leave on for a couple weeks straight. Leave it on all night when camping, so if you wake up in the dark you can find your flashlight. It is fully regulated in all modes. It maintains nearly 100% of the claimed brightness for about 90% of the running time.No PWM flicker in any modes. This makes it both not cheesily annoying like many other lights, and suitable for inspecting spinning parts without getting a dangerously misleading strobe effect. The overall feel is good. Too many hardcore hefty metal flashlights out there. Plastic can be good, and this one is. It's solid, has a good micro texture, and a slightly stylish ridge pattern. It offers grip without feeling cold or abrasive. The bad stuff up top isn't too bad after I play with it and do a more objective evaluation. It's a good working light, and you can add on a "flashlight only" version of some more "fun" models now that you've got 2 chargers.

Great flashlight, bright with a strong beam
I really like this flashlight. The beam is really strong and bright, you can point out objects from almost 100 yards. Having it be rechargeable really makes a big difference for me, I dislike buying batteries all the time. The charge lasts a long time. The poly case isn't too heavy and the yellow makes it hard to misplace. I will buy another.

Excellent flash light
This light is my second only because of wanting an additional for another vehicle. Extremely powerful Flashlight. Has both AC and DC charger. Holds charge very long time. Does not seem to lose charge even when idle for very long periods. Very durable.

Great flashlight in general
Great flashlight in general, obviously super safe and tough which is over the top for just a home flashlight, I just like the durability and visibility (bright yellow) as i lost my stream light strion LED which I loved. The polynstinger hazlo isn't tactical or as bright but it's great for emergencies and just taking the dog out at night. I'm gonna cop another strion though because I miss those lumens.

I am happy to have this torch
It worths to its price. I use it on tanker ship during the tank inspections, in very dark environments, it works very well.

Nice light for the price
I liked how bright it is. It says it’s only 120 lums but it will light up a dark area with out a problem.

Must have for Oil/Gas/Chemical industry use
Comes with a charger for house AND car! Safe for hazardous atmospheres and rated for them to! Very bright and has 3 settings on brightness levels. Has surprisingly long battery life as well.
