User
expanded to agar. very happy.
Look like these reviews cover multiple strains. I'm a commercial grower, I bought 5 strains, Chaga, Turkey, agarikon, Maitake, cordyceps, 4 are growing well on agar, the chaga looks damaged, myc is glassy and only the size of a dime after 2+weeks, the other 4 have overgrown the petri and are now in grain, doing well. Going to mix the syringe and try again with the chaga, not hopeful. The turkey tail is aggressive. Not bad for the price. Other reviews lack detail, lots of pitfalls, variables growing fungi, I'd recommend expanding on agar first, as opposed to directly into substrate, just to see what you're working with. contacted vendor, it seems chaga is a slow strain, they got right back and are sending a new culture in agar.

colonization temp 40-50 F, fruiting temp 70 F
Its growing its growing, took almost a month and a half on pot pot sterilized 50/50 oak/soy in filtered mushroom bags at 45 degrees. It's doing it, its a mycelial colony. No special equipment, mush bags 50/50 pellet, a hot pot.. showered, washed my hands, wiped work down area with alcohol, spritzed alcohol every so often above me in a spray bottle on mist. Injected into sterilized self sealing injection ports on mush bags that had cooled overnight. used alcohol wipe to sterilize the syringe attachment port on the needle attached needle with a twist, wiped injection port, removed needle cover, injected the port, and refrigerated that easy.

Did not workโฆ
I carefully inoculated two sterile rye packets, following all guidelines. I got zero results. I advised the seller who sent me a petri dish showing mycelium growth. I guess that was to make me think the spores I received were live. I donโt think so.

Order in warm weather
Use as soon as possible keep it warm 70-90 degrees mine are growing no sign of contam. But I think I knocked it down a little when the temperature dropped to 60 degrees Fahrenheit

This works
Got the results I was looking for. I have the results now in a container outside for winter freezing. In spring I'll put into a shroom bed. So far so good. To place them out for wintering; I did feed them with some potash, blood meal and calcium. I mixed a bed with pearlite, vermiculite and a soil mix that is favorable for mushrooms. I used a small amount of molasses and water to set the medium. I have well water, so no issues. Just be aware that city water may have chemicals that are not so favorable for your mushrooms. Get the rye bags for the culture, works perfect.
User
mine did not grow
i purchased this along with a substrate bag and nothing ever grew. I may not have done the procedure correctly I cant be sure but it seems pretty straight forward but still no results
User
All good, No contamination
It grew really well, no issues at all. People saying it doesn't grow: make sure the transportation doesn't take too long, make sure it doesn't get too hot (ordering through summer might not be the best idea), make sure you follow sterility protocols with aseptic techniques, make sure you know what you're doing...
