Great addition to my nova chuck
These are super versatile and a great addition. However, they take a little bit of time to setup so you'll likely want them on a dedicated chuck

A must have for anyone running wood working lathe.
This is without a doubt the best set of jaws I have purchased for my lathe. I have been using the standard Nova G3 30th anniversary chuck for a few years and with good success. However we all know too well that in removing a tenon from a workpiece the jaws tend to mar the surface but with the bumpers on the Cole jaws those hard marks are a thing of the past. The best thing with jaws such as these is you can use both compression or expansion to chuck a workpiece without spending time having to change jaws, readjust the bumpers and so forth.The one issue I can think of is the screws extend through the back of the jaws by about a millimeter or so. Normally it shouldn't be a problem, however depending on the position of the jaws when you install the bumpers it will be difficult to either open or close the jaws past a certain point as the screws extending past the rear of the jaws will hit the body of the chuck. I suppose this could be remedied by installing screws about a millimeter shorter but I haven't tried that yet.Even with the small "flaw" on my setup, these jaws are indispensable and are the set I find myself using for the majority of the work I am doing. If you have a bit larger swing on your lathe they also have a larger set of jaws.

Holds small bowls in the lathe
I purchased this item to hold at the mouth of a bowl on the lathe while I shaped the tenon. So far, the item has held my bowls very well. It is well-machined, sturdy, with a nice finish.
