Gibson Gear Angus Young Signature Pickup

Great sounding humbucker and excellent upgrade for my not so expensive guitar. I did and suggest that you install cts 500k pots to maximize to tone from this baby.

Great Humbucking tone, simple installation and bam! Instant Angus. I put this in the bridge position of my 1984 SG and am very pleased. The only thing I did different was switch the polarity by putting the hot lead on the negative point and the neg lead on the hot point on the volume pot.

The first thing you don't notice about the pickup is the string spacing from E to E is 1- 15/16" this is for a Gibson SG Bridge Position. Mounted on a Les Paul, I had to make the stock sting spacing narrower to line up with the pole pieces. However turned out to be worth it, this is about the best sounding pickup I have heard in a long time, or maybe ever. Lots of output, but not muddy, screaming harmonics, hand balanced coils, there was very low microphonics and no noticeable squealing at high gain. It's potted in wax,the absence of hum, ringing and noise made it altogether surprising. I love it, just what I needed. Angus and Gibson designed a really nice pickup, an outstanding team effort. I'm going to say: worth every penny I paid for it, highest recommendation, for those about to rock.

Awesome pups! Great tone and clarity as well as crunch. I have one in the bridge and one in the neck. I put this in my Epi LP and now, along with other hardware I replaced, it is worth just as much as my Gibson LP and sounds just as good

ATTENTION To ANYONE willing to listen - Someone said they changed the string spacing to accomidate this pickup - NO NEED TO DO SO - the strings will be well contained within the magnetic field produced by this pickup - NO need to screw with your les paul or any othe guitar the pickup works fine without ANY guitar modification - Hope this helps someone
