Great product
I’ve never installed a wax ring but from what I’ve seen this is such a better option. I put new flooring in my bathroom and took up the toilet first. The wax ring was a mess. This was super simple to install and the toilet can move after installation without worrying about leaking. Months later and still no leaks.

Killer toilet seal kit!!!
My old wax ring was leaking badly. You know, you have to resolve to do an unpleasant job but at least do it the easiest way. Thats what the Fluidmaster kit is, the easiest, nicely made and I suspect most effective way to seal up your toilet watertight first time out of the starting gate. There's a BIG reason there's so many 5-star reviews!!! It's priced right and the design is way better than a one-shot unforgiving wax ring. So ordered the kit, removed my leaker toilet and its shot eroded wax ring cleaned everything and BANG... Installed wax free seal. Man like what a breeze, fast, simple and easy!!! totally easy to readjust if needed. Would I ever use wax again? not a chance! Thanks to Amazon fast service!!

It's Like Anyone Can Be A Plumber!
So easy to use, even I can do it. I installed two new toilets in two remodeled bathrooms. In one, the new floor had been installed and the flange was slightly higher than the floor. No problem. The rubber Fluidmaster sealed completely. No leaks, no worry about adjusting the toilet position after it's placed, no mess. In the second bathroom the floor hasn't been installed yet. I wasn't going to put the second toilet in until the floor was installed. But the tank on the old toilet broke so I didn't have any choice. This flange was MUCH higher than the floor. I had to tighten the toilet down a little more than I felt comfortable doing but it doesn't seem to have hurt anything. Just like the first, no leaks, no problems. Even with the ultra-high flange. Just take the thin, pre-installed seal/spacer off the Fluidmaster rubber flange and it was good to go. And I won't have a wax ring to worry about when I remove this toilet to install the floor. These Fluidmaster rubber seals worked great and I highly recommend them.

Good Seal, But Instructions Could Be Clearer
I had three failed attempts with this Fluidmaster wax-free toilet seal, all resulting in leaks. It was frustrating until I figured out a better way to use it. Instead of following the typical method, I placed the blue seal onto the toilet first, as it fits snugly around the hole on the bottom. Then, I lifted the toilet onto the spacer and screws, and it fit perfectly. It was a smooth, aligned process, and you could actually feel the toilet moving into position. I think Fluidmaster should mention this in the instructions to avoid unnecessary frustration. Once I figured it out, it worked great. The product itself seems solid, and it’s a good alternative to the traditional wax seal. But, as with most things, "operator error" was the issue, and thinking outside the box saved me.

Working well but needs additional spacers
I needed to replace a Fernco waxless seal for reasons other than the seal itself and decided to try this seal, due to what I consider a serious flaw in the Fernco design. The adhesive used in that design flows when the temperature rises. When I replaced it in my upstairs toilet, I found that almost all of the adhesive had flowed out over time. The bathroom sees temperatures of up to mid-90F during the summer, which is apparently too hot for the adhesive. Another Fernco ring that I have in the downstair closet (temp never reaches more than 90F) has had most of the adhesive flowed to one side of the ring, just from sitting there. This waxless seal is a drop in replacement for a traditional wax ring, so it's simple to install. Also, unlike the Fernco, this one is easy to replace., if needed (for example, if you decide to re-do your bathroom flooring). The one problem I ran into is that, if your floor is slightly raised like mine, you may need to purchase two of these, because each kit only comes with a few spacers. Would it have killed them to include an additional 1/4" thick spacer? Otherwise, I find this seal to be far superior to the Fernco and to traditional wax rings. Since my bathroom floor is not even, I do not need to worry about rocking the toilet while shimming during installation (probably the reason the original wax seal failed years ago... due to rocking during original installation).

So much better than wax
I've had a to fix a few toilets in the house resulting in a few flange changes. All originally had wax. If you haven't set wax or cleaned one up, what a pain. Cleaning takes a while to get it right and when you get it you really need to push it down right and not move the toilet around much, which is hard to do when you are placing a 50lb toilet and trying to get screws through small holes. I've tried a flange that has glue on the part to the toilet and then fits tightly in the drain, but then centering the toilet causes issues as you could loosen the glue. Getting it out was difficult as well as it was a tight fit in the drain and I had to cut the rubber to get it to come out. This install was very easy. You can move the toilet after placing as there's no glue and its not a tight fit in the drain, just fits inside the drain a few inches - its all gravity at that point. One point I did not see anywhere and luckily did not apply; if your toilet drain is more than 1/4" below the surface of the floor, what the flange sits on, you need an additional spacer. This unit only comes with one and it will work for 1/4" below or 1/4" above the floor. Otherwise it may not sit tight on the toilet and cause leaks. I had a builder grade Mansfield toilet and it fit around the toilet opening fine.

It seems good product but unfortunately didn’t fit for my purposes because the black base ring wasn’t included.

I purchased both the wax one and this "better than wax" one, and tried the wax one first. unfortunately the wax one didn't work as my floor was not even so when I set the toilet on, the toilet instantly crashed the wax ring. With some doubt, I tried this, it worked so well that made me wondering how did it work, but that's not important, I just hope it can last 10 years as advertised and save me all the troubles.

It was an easy install after I replaced the bathroom floor. The floor was higher than the pipe so I used the enclosed spacer ring. It all went together easily and tightening the floor bolts compressed the spacer and made a tight seal. Works great, no leaks.
