Fantastic for the money
For the money this is a really great little instrument. The strings are top quality Aquila strings. The built in piezo pickup sounds good - some have complained about never string volume, reseating the bridge sorts that out to the point that it's negligible, if it still bothers you you could always use a compressor pedal. The strings can get sticky - it's normal. Hit them with a little bit of talcum powder or vaseline (removing the excess with a cloth) before you play. These kind of strings are not known to hold tuning that well, but it gets better as the get stretched by playing and multiple tunings. The good news is that the built in tuner works well. The wood body and fretboard are of very decent quality, the fretboard was a bit brittle when it arrived, but a pass of fretboard wax makes it feel and looks beautiful. The nut had a couple of sharp edges that I got rid of by filing them off. These are all absolutely normal "issues" in an inexpensive instrument, you can't expect a guitar at this price to come perfectly finished and set up. What counts is the whole and after some very easy fixes you get an instrument that sounds and looks much more expensive than it is. Highly recommended.

Great bass ukulele
I've been playing guitar for years and use a ukulele to focus in on playing techniques and was spending a few weeks working on the timings by playing the bass guitar needed to travel and the bass ukulele is much easier to carry in my wheelchair, it tunes the same as a bass guitar so anything you can play on it can easily transfer to the bigger instrument, the fretless design is an interesting concept I had not really thought about before that said I was quite surprised when I could slide to the notes I wanted so easy and found this a fun instrument to play it's quiet unless you plug it into an amp..I tried it both accoustic and through my bass guitar amp and the sound is great, it takes a little getting used to the strings as they feel a little different to other instruments but now I have been playing it regularly for a few months I'm loving how easy it is to play, it looks cool and turns heads at a gig as not that many people playing bass ukulele as a solo artist. I have a few tunes I use it for regularly setting it up through the looper pedal to lay down the bass before picking up the guitar to play over it... I'm definitely recommending this one to friends I went online again and bought another ukulele from the same brand on here

Fab value low G concert ukulele
This is a great value ukulele. Arrived well packaged, all items included and in perfect condition. The strap is great, my first uke with 2 buttons I like the arrangement. It is well made, sounds good and I’m so pleased I got it.The tuner works but is a bit ‘cheap and cheerful’

Lovely value.
It feels substantial - many ukes feel a bit toy-like, but this is something else. I like the size and feel of the instrument although the strings take some getting used to! It can be played very quietly for practice, yet with a mic a foot away or so picks it up well enough for rough recording. It has a tuner built it, which seems a little glitchy to me, and there's a fairly standard magic box for direct output to an amp for recording and whatnot - I haven't tried that yet. I truly wish I'd known about these things years ago, as I've always wanted to try a bass but found them too long in the neck! I'm only little! So if you're thinking about trying a bass guitar but feel intimidated by the size and weight, this has the same tuning and is small enough to carry around! The bag's robust and smart-looking, too.

Well made Instrument.
I got this 5 string tenor uke as I have the high G & low G & this combines the two. The Aklots are well made with solid mahogany front & this one has an excellent gig bag with extras, suitable for a beginner. It lacks a tuner which other models bundle but the player will probably have one as this isn't really a first ukulele. I prefer the sound of this above the other few ukes I have. I also got it at a reduced price which I had waited for. Great value.

well-balanced tones
The build quality of this bass is very good and it arrived pretty well set-up perfectly. I have a couple of full-size bass guitars and have made several 'cigar-box' basses with short scale lengths. This Aklot bass has a good a tonal range and overall sound as any of them. The Aquila synthetic strings are my favourite. Have to say that I give strings and fretboard a light spray with WD-40 before playing, as I prefer a frictionless slide action.

Not working
The two lower strings of this ukulele I got were not amplified. When I tapped the bridge between the E and A strings, the amplifier did not amplify this tapping either, only on the two higher strings. So the problem could be with the pickup.I would have liked to have the instrument replaced, but there is no such option, so I'm sending it back.

Not great
The main problem I have is that the volumes produced by the individual strings are uneven. I did note this and message them but no response. The rest of it is not bad quality.
