Halvah has been a favorite of mine since I was a child. It is nearly impossible to find in standard grocery stores, even those that carry exotic foods. It may appear oily when it arrives (not refrigerated). This does not indicate spoilage. Just keep it refrigerated and any oily residue on top will soak in. Cut into chunks as desired and serve after it is cold. Seed + Mill makes delicious Halva. I've tried many brands, and this one has become my go-to. For those who have never eaten Halva before, I cannot guarantee that you will like it. But if you are one of those people who, like me, craves the product (at least periodically), I highly recommend this brand.

This is nothing like the Halvah I had a kid in Philadelphia. The texture is slightly gritty as you'd expect, but not in a bad way. The mouth feel is really nice and adds to the experience. I was worried that it's chocolate flavor because I love plain Halvah. But the chocolate was not overpowering at all; in fact, I had a hard time telling that it had chocolate in it - that's a good thing. If I wasn't worried about gaining 50 lbs, I'd put this on a subscription! We're going to try the pistachio next. Such a good product.

My memory of 1960-70’s block chocolate marbled halvah in NJ. Tasty and treated like a delicacy in my household, portioned out in just the smallest amount and saved to be enjoyed again later (thanks Mom!). Perhaps that’s why I have so much reverence for halvah and I’ve discovered this amazing food again after decades . So many varieties and such special care taken by the Rachel and her team to create a great product. She responded to me directly when I made a comment about her halvah. It is worth the price and believe me I’m making up for lost time..!

Not the halvah I grew up eating & enjoying, but a different twist on a favorite sesame sweet. I find the container it comes in, a little tricky to open at first, & hard to resist eating what seems like a small amount in a small container, but delicious just the same..So is too, the pistachio nut variety. One tasted, you’ll be hooked, but at $10+ a pop, on the expensive side. but not something you would eat very often, so taste wins over the price.

After reading reviews about this halva, I was SO excited to try Seed & Mill. The first time I ordered this product, there was minor plot twist. It arrived with a broken seal/lid, stuff had spilled and oil was everywhere. Upside-it smelled really good. Downside- obviously not safe to eat. The lovely folks at Amazon issued a refund and I decided to give this another try. The new package arrived this week and unfortunately the seal was broken yet again. The product was not leaking this time but I'm on the fence about whether or not it's safe to eat if the tamper seal is broken. I'm still really excited about the actual product. The packaging is pretty but it just doesn't seem to ship very well. Seed & Mill is a little bit tricky to find in brick and mortar stores out in Seattle.

Excellent flavor. Well packaged. Not oily. Would definitely purchase again! One of the best I've had.

I ordered a dark chocolate sea salt flavor, and the overwrap said it was dark chocolate sea salt, but there is no chocolate at all. It takes like plain halva. Disappointing to say the least.
