10 Pairs Chinese Bamboo Chopsticks

I viewed at least a dozen different Chopsticks to use for my hair on Amazon. I finally decided on this set because (a) it is bamboo, so I felt it would have some give and not break so easy as some plastic may (b) great bang for my buck (c) assorted designs so they're pretty.(a) I have super thick hair so I also wanted a bargain that IF they did start to break ... I would not be out much. This is 10 pairs so I figure worse case scenario I would be down by a few and then be able to use a good sturdy few. I just got the item today and immediately put my hair up. So far so good. Being as they are bamboo, some sticks are smoother than others. If it really bothers me. I will either sand it down OR coat them in a sealant that is okay to get wet. (I have been in restaurants where some chopsticks are nice and smooth and others not so much -- and those are the by-the-bulk sticks stored in the paper sleeve. So I know they are more bottom of the line.)(b) I bought these 2/26/12 at $4.07 (+$4.49 shipping) = $8.56 total. $8.56 ÷ 10 = 86¢ each pair!!! Less than a buck a pair -- I can deal with that for minor flaws & a couple of breaks-if it should it happen; knock on wood .. er.. bamboo :-)(c) the designs are cute. The gingham has a cute Carrot on it. One pair has the Great Wall on it -- which I did not know what it was until I turned the stick sideways - before I was like "what on earth is that..." Each of the pairs are in their own little fabric sleeve - which is nice. It looks like IF the little knot decoration falls off - grab some glue and put it back. Knowing me I will just take any fallen knots and put it in my craft box to be made into something else...All in all I am happy with my purchase.

This is a very nice set of wooden chopsticks! They are similar to the kind you split apart your self with very pretty designs on top(The designs are printed on plastic rather than on the chopsticks) I really love the sleeves they come in; such pretty designs and they have a nice feel to them! I got no repeats in my set but even if I did, I wouldn't mind. Overall really nice for cheap!

OH i LOVE THESE BEAUTIFUL CHOPSTICKS! VARIED DESIGNS MAKE A WONDROUS SELECTION.. EACH PAIR COVERED WITH A BEAUTIFUL DEIGNED SILK COVER WITH A MINIATURE ROSE ATTACHED TO EACH ONE. THE SMALL PRICE DOES NOT MATCH THE BEAUTY AND WORK THAT MUST HAVE GONE INTO MAKING THEM. I BOUGHT MANY OF THEM AND I SOMETIMES GIVE THEM INDIVIDUALLY AS GIFTS. THEY ARE ALWAYS WELL RECEIVED.

I ordered these for use and they are not very good. They make your food taste like wood and only the top has decoration so the rest is uncovered. The case they are each in falls apart and some are stuck to the chopsticks so it unravels when you take them out. The flowers didn't stay on any of them. If you're looking for something just for decoration, this is great. It's cheap and pretty. But it's not for every day use.

I have to give these a 3 star as I didn't get what was pictured. I got mostly flower patterns. I got them because it seemed an equal mix of feminine and masculine designs. They looked lacquered at the top but have some plastic sticker/shrink wrap look to it. The fabric bags have several stray fray strings among them. The price is the real reason I am giving them a 3 star at this price my expectations weren't very high. It says they are finely polished but they are more finely sanded at best. The term polished refers to a smooth surfaces these are not smooth. The are definitely not a fine gift either. They do seem durable and feel nice in the hand. I do like that they are not too narrow and very functional for eating Chinese. While these are lovely, sturdy chopsticks, the fabric sleeves don't make a good impression. The set we received had frayed edges and you could see the hot glue where the ribbon/string knots are attached. Bummer. Wanted to give them as gifts w/ the fabric sleeves, but ended up removing them so they didn't look so cheap.
