The Emperor's New Groove [DVD]

This movie is wonderful for families. It's very funny and it teaches good value. Not only is it visually entertaining, but if you are a mom, you often don't get to watch, but end up hearing most of it. It is even entertaining that way. My kids have loved this movie for years. Our 4H club recently watched it together and the kids who hadn't seen it before loved it and were excited to share it with their families.

Great family, cartoon comedy 🎬

I originally purchased this movie when my kids were young.Now I have grandchildren wondering where some of their parents favorite movie quotes came from. Bought this to watch with the grands and carry on the fun.

Wide wanted it so got on prime video. Wife loves this movie

The Emperor's New Groove is one hour and eighteen minutes and was released in theaters on December 15, 2000. The films tells the story of Emperor Kuzco who has and ego as big as his kingdom, self centered and does not like to be touched. Emperor Kuzco fires Yzma, his advisor, mainly for making decisions without his approval. Also Emperor Kuzco has invited Pacha over to his palace to give him advice (unknown to Pacha at the time) where to build his summer home. Later that evening Yzma invites Emperor Kuzco to dinner to show that there is no hard feelings. The truth of the matter is she is planning to kill Emperor Kuzco and makes herself ruler. Something goes wrong with the plan and instead of killing him, turns Emperor Kuzco into a llama. Kronk is told to finish the job, but looses Kuzco in the process. Kuzco is saved by Pacha unintentionally and is brought to his village home. Kuzco discovers that he has been turned into a llama and orders Pacha to take him back to his village. Pacha refuses unless the Emperor moves his summer home somewhere else. Kuzco heads back to the palace himself against the warnings Pacha that there are jaguars in the jungle. Kuzco winds up being chased by the jaguars and is rescued by Pacha. When Pacha gives him his shirt to stay warm Kuzco begins to have a change of heart, but is back to his old self when the two head back to the palace. Kuzco goes back on his deal with Pacha but when he saves Pacha he realizes that he needs him to get back to the palace and as a friend too since he has none. The race is on to get back to the palace to make Kuzco human again. In the end the two manage to outwit Yzma, turn Kuzco human, and Kuzco and Pacha become great friends. Kuzco does not build a palace but a small hut next to Pacha's hut. The Emperor's New Groove does not have the same Disney magic as past Disney movies and the only song in the movie is during the end of film when the credits are rolling. The film only profited sixty-million dollars while past films grossed more in profits. The Emperor's New Groove did get favorable reviews from movie critics. My grandkids visited and wanted to watch a movie. My own kids had enjoyed this show years ago so I thought they may like it too. They loved it, it was so fun to see it again :)

Secondo me tra i film Disney più riusciti, divertente da morire, storia non scontata e mi mette sempre di buon umore.Poi secondo me per i bambini è veramente educativo perchè il protagonista non è il solito buono con cui ti senti subito dalla sua parte... lo scopri man mano che la storia avanzaE Kronk.... ora comprerò i cartoni di Kronk

普通に良い教訓話になると思う。6歳の娘がワガママを言い出すと道徳の時間といいこのDVDを見せています。声優の藤原竜也も最高‼️

Is your kid selfish beyond belief than pop in this film and hopefully it will sink in how bad he/she is being and how much this will come back too bite them.
