Mr. Clever (Mr. Men and Little Miss)

I grew up with these books and now my little girl loves them too. We are slowly adding them to our library. We love them all. Every. Single. One.

The whole Mr. series is a treat. We started reading these books to our son when he was about three, and we are now reading them to his son. They are the grandson's favorites. They are quick reads, several pages long with fun drawings, so he can ask for several to be read at one sitting without taxing a grownups' patience!

The Roger Hargreaves, Mr. and Mrs. series, is fantastic for a four year old. Much before, they don't catch the humor, but my four year old grandson rolled with laughter every time I read one of the series. He has already highlighted the ones he wants for his next birthday, and the next etc...These are great fun, and inexpensive.
