I have had this cat post for 3 months now. She absolutely loves it. She is a bigger cat and can easily climb all over this post without it ever falling over. She plays with it daily and it is holding up nicely compared to past scratching posts! I will be ordering another one when this one finally gives out!

I was a bit worried when I bought it because of the mixed reviews, but since I had a kitten, I thought that the worse it could happen is that he would out-grow it. I got the 32-inch, and the people complaining it is too small got the 17-inch. The 32-inch is PERFECT. I have had it for six months now, my cat is now almost one-year old, he grew a lot and he still uses it often, not only scratching but jumping and perching on top of it. It is heavy enough for all his activity, never an issue. It is excellent, and I am buying a second one to put in another part of the house.

It's a great scratcher, however the 'carpet' is a felt like fabric and it was destroyed in a day. Within the first 10 minutes one of the cats, had pulled some of it up from the wood base. If they had used a more durable fabric or added another sisel part, instead of the gray carpeted bottom, it would be the best scratcher I would have ever purchased. I'll have to fix this myself somehow. This is depressing.Also wanted to note that there are two little play balls attached. One on top and one in a hidden hole in the bottom. Too darn awesome.The base is wide enough: no cats will knock this over - even climbing up it. It's also heavy enough to stay secure, but not too heavy to move. And the packaging is the most effective and most useful use of space of anything I've seen shipped off of this website. Kudos.All in all, it's actually a great scratcher. The felt bottom will get destroyed. But to their credit, the plastic bottom's interior is the same color as the fabric so if you ripped it off, one may not even notice? Either way, it's a keeper and my cats love it. All for under $40.

I’ve had my scratching post for over a year now. It holds up really well. My Kitty loves edges and corners. Her talon like claws shred up boxes easily. I searched and hunted for a scratching post that wasn’t round. They are almost all round. Finding this one was a god send. Assembly was very easy. It looks good, and it’s very sturdy for an 11 lbs medium sized cat to stretch and cling to.I now have two of these side by side and kitty uses both and plays around or between them. She likes to shred and destroy the felt like fabric sections before reaching for the rope- I found it easy to replace the material with what I believe to be felt carpet lining for floors and gaffers tape. The rope is still going strong. For this price- it’s a steal. I highly recommend this scratching post to every cat owner.

This post was easy to put together and was bigger than I thought. My cat loves it even though the grey felt part seems to get torn up pretty quickly. Great for the price!

Not great quality. the bottom half's fabric started falling apart after 3 weeks of having it and now i have to figure a way to stable it back on or just buy another cat tree. It's worth it if you're on a budget, but i suggest going for good quality as it will last longer for the price

I never leave Amazon reviews but am making an exception for this scratching post. My cat absolutely loves it. The toy at the top is perfect to keep her interested. She also loves scratching both the base part and the pole. I was worried she was going to ignore it and it would end up being a decoration, but she loves it!

My cats like this. Even though it is a tower style it is very sturdy and doesn't tip over. Well made and has 2 different scratching textures. Recommend!
