This Arcturus Insulated Tarp is an absolute workhorse. I've used it for everything from ground cover while camping to emergency shelter, and it performs exceptionally well. The insulation layer actually works—you can feel the difference compared to regular tarps when used as a blanket or ground barrier. The heavy-duty construction is no joke. This isn't some flimsy emergency blanket that tears if you look at it wrong. It's thick, durable, and built to handle real outdoor use. Durable. Foldable. Reflects heat well. I used these to reflect heat from my campfire. It didn’t tear or rip at all. Folded right back up for travel. Great to keep 1-2 people warm. It isn’t huge. I’m a big dude and could easily wrap it around me completely.

Owned a similar tarp by a different maker until it was stolen. But I have to say, my old tarp had nothing on this! This tarp feels really durable and the large grommets are extra reinforced. It's big enough for all my needs. Was also pleased that it came with a storage bag made of the same material (including the reflective surface on the inside!) which makes stowing it a breeze. Definitely a great item for a great price. Highly recommend!

Perfect size for me. Bought 2 and glad I did. It could use a few more gromet holes thought. Used mine as a sleeping bag and wind barrier. It's light enough to carry around, yet thick and strong enough to stay/stand upright with a little help. I've wrapped myself in it, standing against a wall of sorts and laying down, huge difference. It's not a warming blanket but definitely great for temporary protection from cold and wind.

Very well made, and has been a lifesaver, keeping the cold air off out of our Peacock pen with this terribly cold winter. Handy yet sturdy grommets on all four corners are useful for tying down.

Was on a group outing to a popular recreation area on the Pedernales, near Austin, for a day trip. The cool water mixed well with the warm day, but the bonfire was insufficient when a norther blew in at dusk. None had dressed for the cold. I was turning 90° to the fire every couple of minutes, to try and keep all of me warm enough not to shiver. It wasn't working. But then, a sudden rustle behind me, and I was instantly enveloped in warmth. I thought, *What is this magic?* One of the group had one of these tarps in his trunk, and unfurled it behind the group of us sitting near the fire. He simply draped it over the large rocks, about ten feet behind us, and rising five feet above us, and held it in place with stones. The reflective side captured all the heat from the fire and reflected it to our backs. Anywhere between the fire and the reflective side of the tarp was warm enough to sleep by. I keep one in my car as an emergency blanket or emergency tent, and another with my camping gear as a ground liner for my backpacking/car-camping tent. I haven't tried it, but suspect it will serve well with my hammock as a rain cover, sun shield, or campfire reflector should the weather change while I am overnighting and I am not carrying a tent. Bulky as a tarpaulin, because, as Star Wars' General Akbar almost said, "It's a tarp!" But it is lighter and smaller than my one-person backpacking tent.

This blanket is big and heavy, great for auto, RV and boat emergency kits. Comes in a zippered storage bag. It's meant for long-term use, not a throwaway.

Does the job! I wrap it around my dog's crate in the car so it keeps warm longer when we're running errands together in the cold weather. It's great to walk back with her and see that the crate is still nice and warm when she gets back in. It also makes the crate more denlike, so she is very comfortable in there. I like the camo b/c it also blends in and doesn't bring attention to it.

So this little bit of kit has a thermal lining which reflects 90% of your body heat back to you, i used one on my tent to go all around my ground sheet and sleeping back and i was toasty warm, it feels a little flaky but no issues yet, waterproof very light and practical. At a push you could use it to hide from thermal camera's not that i would expect anyone on Amazon to need one for that purpose :-D .

A Very good blanket for reflecting the heat and keeping the Sun 🌞off

I used this as a floor in my tent to protect it. This is very well built, can be very stiff but being the first time I used it that is expected. It was -15 Celsius so that also made it very tough to fold up. The tie loops are great quality and made well. The pouch it came in worked well for keeping items in as it was also reflectics material inside. Glad I spent the little bit of extra $$.
