Didn’t have to buy a new computer
My problem was that the battery on my old Dell laptop would not charge. I had to plug the laptop in all the time. Instead of throwing out the computer I decided to try a new battery.The battery was inexpensive. It fit correctly in my laptop, and charged as expected. The charge seems to be lasting.I saved myself from buying a new computer!I think this was a good idea.* I write reviews to let you know how this product was for me, and to aid you in your decision to buy or not buy.

Difficult to Choose Correct Battery Replacement, Resulting from Inconsistent Documentation
I am using this battery for my Dell Inspiron laptop, model 5566. The picture on the site convinced me to choose this battery. In general, the model numbers are inconsistent for the same battery. In fact, the Amazon representative with whom I shared these concerns recommended a different battery, which I am sure from the picture would have been incorrect.The performance and endurance of the power is very satisfactory. However, the gauge which reports the current capacity of the battery is rarely correct.

Should have bought it long ago
I should have purchased this replacement battery long ago. I thought it would be difficult, expensive, time consuming and hard to put into the machine and I could not have been more wrong. It was the easiest thing in the world and much less expensive than I imagined. So far so good. I'll write again if there are any issues or if it doesn't give me enough charge.

Dont get this
If I could rate this a zero star I would. The item did not work. Physically it looked and felt like my original dell battery but, with claims of having the specs needed to function properly for my computer, it did not work at all.You're better off buying a battery from the actual Dell Manufacturer itself, or better yet saving that money for a new computer.

Does the job. Easy to install. Unfortunately the Dell Inspiron is one of the worst laptops on the market so a new battery can only do so much.
