AMAZING for slapback country echo!
If you want that authentic sounding country slapback then this is the only delay you want! It adds incredible depth and really inspires. Only 3 knobs so you can spend more time playing and less time adjusting settings.I've attached a photo that is a great starting point for a nice slapback setting -- and so you can see the red LED(see below). My only complaint with this pedal -- and some others out there -- is the SUPER bright blue LED staring you in the face when you're trying to work with the pedal. It's almost unbearable -- especially in a dimly lit room! To fix that, I replaced the clear blue LED with a red diffuse one and swapped out the 3.3K resistor for a 22K while I was at it. MUCH better. If you're handy with a soldering iron it's not that big of a deal. That one small change made the pedal so much more usable IMO.

don't blame the tool, or you may be one!
What it does it does excellent. It does not have long delay times or tap tempo, so if you need those buy something else. It does have full size analog components, and excellent construction. This and the full size Maxon are my two favorite delays for playing clean or cleanish delay. If you play hard rock or metal you will not notice the difference as much. In that case the MXR carbon copy (another George Tripps pedal) is a great choice. The aqua puss sounds incredibly sweet for surf, ambient echo, reverbish tones etc. The blend control goes further than I need, as you can make the delays louder than the original signal if you want. That might be useful for a special effect, but I usually don't use it that way. Watch the official video, and be amazed.

decent, but not for me
The Aqua Puss is a really "raw" delay effect that I think is decent quality for the price, but I feel that the controls on it really limit its practical use. If you are looking for a delay that you won't have to change during the middle of a performance, this will do the job well (it does not have tap tempo, which some folks like - I find that it gets in my way). Throw this effect on top of a slow lead to crank up a really spacey vibe (think Gilmour) - it does a really good job at that, just be sure to bring your own reverb to even out the repeats. Dial the delay down but crank the blend to add some extra texture to your playing - it does a really good job at doubling to thicken up those power chords a bit.I did my due diligence playing with this effect in different spots in my rig, both in and out of my amp's effects loop, but I just could not get the sound I wanted to out of it. It sounded much better in the fx loop and I was finally able to get closer to what I was going for, though I still just couldn't seem to dial in that sweet spot. In the end I found the effect to sound too choppy and overly dramatic for my taste; I want a delay that is a lot more subtle to accent only certain parts of my playing, and I found with this pedal that it's either inaudibly short or too thick and long for what I want.I bought mine used to try it out and it will go back on the used market fairly soon. Before I got this, I thought all delays are more or less the same. I definitely don't think that anymore and I'll be spending a bit of time in a music shop trying a few different delays before I spend money on another one.

Great for Sun Records style slap-back or old school doubling ...
Very organic sounding analog delay. For what it lacks in delay time, it makes up for in character. I typically set the delay knob from about a quarter to halfway. Great for Sun Records style slap-back or old school doubling effects. The blend knob is extremely effective and can thicken up your sound substantially. I've only used this with a guitar but I'm really curious to try on vocals. I love the simple layout. I'm not much of a knob tweaker. I've tried many delays but the Aqua-Puss is at the top of the heap in sound, simplicity and build quality.

Even nicer than I'd hoped for.
THIS thing adds a really gorgeous sparkle to my tone and I really love it. I bought it looking for that classic "slapback" effect I've come to love in my rockabilly players' sounds. This got me where I wanted to go with it and has a few other little versatile dynamics to play with as well. The 'feedback' knob can do some fun stuff when you tweak it a bit in tandem with the other two dials. Beautiful work on and in this analog pedal.

Nice,very nice
Can't go wrong with this delay. Very clear and warm sounding. Not good for long delay times but that's not what this unit is designed for. Great slap back settings and more. It's great for blues, country, rock and roots music. This is a classic reborn. Get it. I love it!

At first i like it, but now not too crazy about it
At first i like it, but now not too crazy about it. Hard to dial in a usable sound. I think its too high pitched sounding for me. I went back to my memory man deluxe.
