Review: Great for Vintage Paper Spinners - I used this tape to repair a vintage Spinning Santa” paper cone. The whole top had torn off. This tape is a little hard to separate from the backing, but it did a great job on the repair. It’s strong, and nearly invisible. I will gladly buy this tape again for any future repairs.
Review: Worked great, barely noticable - I used it on an old Golden book that had yellowed and torn pages. I used a needle to start the separation from the backing because it's a fine tape and it worked great. Light burnishing with my fingernail and it was barely noticeable. Also used it to reinforce page edges. Worked great for my project.

**Q: Have you solved the problem of making it easier to peel?**
A: No I haven't. Sorry

**Q: Is this tape made of paper? i'm looking at filmoplast p paper tape in demco, and wondering if this is the same or different.**
A: Yes, it looks like wax paper and when applied to paper it is clear to mend book pages.  Handle carefully because it is very thin tears easily.  Great product.

**Q: Will ink from the late 1800's bleed through or be damaged by this tape?**
A: I have been using Filmoplast for at least 15 or more years and been most satisfied using it. I've never noticed any bleed through on various inked papers, at least back to the early 1915's. I can't say for sure about the late 1800's, but think it would do fine.

**Q: Can this product be used to repair a torn washable cotton fabric? I have searched unsuccessfully for fabric tape but none matches the color. Thx.**
A: I don't think so. It's used for repair of paper-like, like, in my case a mulberry paper lamp shade, which is pretty delicate. The tape does not have a strong adhesive or does it seem particularly durable. Probably wouldn't hold up very well on any repair that is required to do more than, well... nothing.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Scotch Tape Helps

I purchase this tape hoping to mend an old 30" long panorama photo that had been rolled up for too long, once laid flat the emulsion cracked. The Neschen Filmoplast P Archival Mending Tape, 1"x100', was not sufficiently thick to flatten the cracked areas. It is very shear but I chose to use it on the back of the photo, where it pretty much disappeared. It is tricky pealing the backing off but I found that by using a small piece of Scotch tape on the tape side, it can be started easily, and once threaded thru the tab on the top of the box, it a simple matter of pulling off what you need while pulling the backing thru the opposite direction. It seems to stick well and repositioning might be difficult. I have not used it to mend a document but likely it will work quite well.
