ERapta is Amazing!! LOVE this camera and company!!
ERapta Backup Camera is more than just a camera or product. When you purchase this camera, one, it arrives very quick. All the parts you need are professionally boxed and wrapped. If you purchase two side and rear mount cameras with the screen like I did be aware, and itโs NOT a big deal, that the boxes will be printed with the backup camera design. Itโs ok! Open ALL the camera boxes and you will find your side mount cameras, too, in the same printed boxes. Itโs possible that the company will make this change soon to be sure customers arenโt scared into thinking they didnโt get side cameras. Many comments show that they donโt open all their boxes and assume they received four backup cameras.IMPORTANT: cameras are packed carefully and with clear tape, not plastic film, on the lenses. If you pull the tape off, be aware. A sticky film might be left on the glass lens. Cotton swabs and denatured alcohol was my solution to taking this film off but with care, theyโll be clean and beautiful.ERapta also provides an excellent amount of well marked, easy to connect cables. I live in a 40โ vintage bus. I am more than pleased by the 10 and 20 meter, not feet, lengths that come with the cameras. Itโs more than what I need but am happy with the extra length. The monitor and remote are lightweight, clean, simple to use together or separate. The visuals on the screen, the options of viewing are clean, crisp and truly enjoyable to experiment with. When finally placing the cameras, be aware that itโs important, especially with the side cameras, that you connect and power on the system to be sure they are on the correct side of the vehicle. The monitor has camera features to reverse the screen but itโs important that you make sure the cameras are not upside down. The eRapta side cameras can easily be taken apart with four screws and spun around in the ball mount and put back together to be at the view you prefer. The night views of the these cameras are bright and powerful. The controls are easy to adjust and if safety is your concern about vehicles being in a spot you cannot see, like it happens when driving a 40โ bus AND pulling another vehicle behind it, then you will appreciate the quality of eRapta. The camera package works so well that we use it as home security when in the bus. The only downside is there is no recording package so if you leave you cannot record intruders. Again, there is NO recording option on this four camera, monitor package. Still, the options to see clear day or night, whatever kind of weather is worth every penny of knowing whoโs out creeping around your vehicle or home.Customer service is BEYOND what I expected and still canโt believe the fast response to questions I had. Iโm a woman that doesnโt understand this electronic stuff but every question was patiently answered with beautiful enthusiasm and concern. If you ever need assistance, eRapta customer service is going to surprise you, I promise!!Again, I canโt say enough about the products, customer service and expedient service. If you donโt believe me, read the other comments. Even I was hesitant into believing a company could be exactly what youโd expect but ERapta is and more. Thanks eRapta, I love my camera system!!

High Quality
I have not installed this system yet, I will update my review after installing and using all the functions as soon as possible. I spent a very long time searching for a good quality 4 camera system with a nice screen. I first saw some similar ones from creators on YouTube and looked them up, but the prices were a bit out of range for the feature set. I narrowed my search down to this 9" DVR with 4 cameras system as well as the 7" version from eRapta as well. The features like the quality night vision cameras, the robust connectors, HD screen at 9" in size, and the software that allows video feed to be flipped and rotated and recorded drew me to purchasing this product. This was all at a price I felt was a good chunk less than comparable offerings on Amazon. I wanted the screen to be a bit bigger than the 7" option since I plan on having all cameras on the display at once while driving. When I opened the box, I was immediately taken aback, as the quality far surpassed what I expected. The cables are thick and flexible with tough connectors and fuses where appropriate. Every wire is labeled on the unit for ease of installation. The buttons feel nice and the mount for the screen is heavy duty, something I appreciate, as it will be going in a box truck, where the ride is a but rough. The operating instructions and installation guide is very detailed, and the is a link to a YouTube video printed inside to watch someone install this. That is very nice to have the extra assistance if needed. most of the booklet is for the recording functions and screen controls and even how to search the recording on a computer. I feel with these items at your disposal, anyone could install and use this camera and DVR system.I will update in the future when everything is installed and I have used all the options included. For transparency, eRapta also included a "gift card" in the box for an extra camera or dash camera. I am including my own opinions for this review, not solely for this additional product.

Great Upgrade to Replace Older RV Camera
Background: My 2008 Jayco Class C original low fidelity B/W single camera system needed a major upgrade. I used the Erapta 202 to replace the rear camera with two Erapta cameras using the original embedded cable and also added side cameras mounted on the mirrors to provide lane changing views. Some additional simple circuitry was required to get the side cameras to only trigger when changing lanes. I use them with the โstandardโ down the road rear view used all the time with the side and backup views triggered by turn signals or putting the coach in reverse.Product Review: The Erapta 202 is a well-built product particularly for the price. The overall system can display combinations of one to four cameras (easily selected and configured from the monitor) and also has โtriggerโ lines that can be used to switch cameras automatically when reversing or when turn signals are actuated (although on my vehicle and most others, you have to add some simple circuitry to make this work properly). The monitor is large enough to see clearly, color is very good and brightness is fine even for full sun daylight driving. I was able to modify my existing original monitor mount (some cutting required) to adapt to the larger and different aspect ratio Erapta monitor.Cabling is provided for all cameras; in this case I used the single original embedded 4 wire cable to provide the cable run through the vehicle to the two cameras I used on the rear (one down the road, one looking down immediately behind the vehicle). I'll add pictures as soon as I can figure out how to do that on an existing review; right now it won't allow pictures.Cameras are well built, although I did have an issue with one getting โfogged upโ internal after a few months outdoors. The Erapta customer support team immediately shipped a replacement by Fedex along with the โgiftโ camera offered in the original package that hadnโt arrived. So kudos to the customer support team for their rapid replacement. The aspect ratio of the camera view is 16:9, so it provides good near view looking out the back, but not great long view way down the road. However, for my purposes it was a great rear-view improvement that can be left on all the time while driving.I was concerned about mounting the cameras on the side view mirrors, worried about vibration while driving. However, the cameras are rock steady across the board, so that worry was unfounded.Overall a very nice system and great upgrade. I have provided pictures and diagrams of the upgrade. You have to be reasonably handy to make this upgrade as it involves cutting cables and soldering, and some simple circuit construction and installation. Also, there is a lot of โfindingโ the appropriate wiring in your vehicle to connect turn signals and power to the system. Not difficult, but time consuming. Routing the cables for the turn signals also involved a bit of work, again just tedious, not difficult.I was really impressed with the capability and quality of the system and it was a tremendous upgrade for my driving safety with the coach.

Great system and great value.
Installed the backup cameras on rear of RV (one looking down at hitch and one looking back at TOAD and traffic) and side cameras to help with the dreaded blind spots. Split screen monitor display is great - we tend to have top half with rear looking back (Toad and traffic) and bottom half split to show left and right side cameras (neighboring traffic). Works great. Image is clear and great in low light. Only downside is color is not vibrant per image in ad but that's minor - don't really care if the vehicle in the way is red or blue or green, just need to clearly see it! And great customer service. Have been very responsive to any/all inquiries.Update: still love this system. Have been using it for over 6 months now. We ended up mounting it "upside down" under the TV cabinet over the dash of our RV. This puts it in perfect view of driver so eyes can remain on the road and still see what's on either side as well as who is behind and status of towed vehicle. We have been looking at other RVs and so far like this system & monitor placement far better than any we have seen as most are mounted in the dash and thus require lowering eyes and/or are obscured by steering wheel! Perhaps fine for just backing up but not for improving driving safety.

Mostly good, some bad
I installed this system in a 2003 30ft motorhome. The good: This is a mid-level 4 camera system with 720 resolution cameras. It is a HUGE improvement over the old camera system. I can now see whats behind me and in my blind spots on both sides. There was plenty of wire and as far as the system itself goes, it instillation was simple. The cameras are powered through the video cable, so there is no need to tap into power at each camera location. I feel I got my money's worth but if I were to make the purchase again, I'd probably go with something else. The bad: The screws that are included to attach the side cameras are aluminum. They will twist off in the hole with even the slightest torque. Do yourself a favor and throw them in the trash and use something else. The default setting when the unit powers up is for all four cameras to record. On quad screen mode, there is a constant flashing red dot on every picture. It is very distracting and annoying. You have to manually stop recording every time you start the engine to git rid of it. I wish now that I had gotten a unit that doesn't record at all. Last, the instructions are written by someone who is just learning English. I mean, how much could it cost to have someone proofread them before you publish? It makes me question the quality of everything else.

I was able to easily adapt to use as a quick disconnect setup
I was looking for a low cost wired camera setup for my RV trailer that would allow -2- things, multiple cameras and a quick disconnect system at the hitch of my truck. In all my research it seems the second is all but impossible to find. After reading other reviews of this camera and one review in particular where the user said he was able to adapt it to do exactly what I wanted, I figured I would give it a try. I ordered the unit in March and received it in a timely manner. Since the weather is generally lousy in the Northeast that time of year and our first trip out wasn't until May, all I did when I received the unit was bench test it and look it over to see how I could adapt it to my needs. Everything worked well on the bench, so I put that aside. In order to make the quick disconnect work, it actually turned out easier than I expected. There are four coax cables that come from each of the cameras that run up to a single cable. This separate cable is about five feet long. On one end are four connectors for the camera coax cables, 12 volt power and ground for the entire system, and four other wires that can be used if you wanted to force a specific camera to full screen (if you use the left turn signal and you want the left camera to go full screen). On the other end is a thirteen pin connector that plugs in to a short connector on the monitor. That's all there is to the basic wiring. Normally this short cable would be in the vehicle connected directly to the monitor, with the coax cables running from it to the cameras. This really only works for a motorhome type setup in my mind. What I did to make it work as a quick disconnect was this. I ordered a 30 ft 13 pin cable https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019S238FO/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_12and ran this from the bumper hitch next to the trailer cable connector up to the front of my truck (a crew cab 6.5 ft box pickup) and into the glovebox. This left about five feet of cable in the glovebox to pull out when needed to connect to the monitor.I then took the five foot adaptor cable that came with the camera kit and wire tied it to the trailer connector cable and ran it back to where my batteries are located on the hitch right behind the propane tanks. I took the four coax cables from the cameras, which I mounted one each on the left and right side ahead of the wheels and two on the rear, and attached them to the adapter cable using a generous amount of dielectric grease in each connector to help protect it from the weather. Note here that I had also purchase a couple of shorter pieces of coax cable so that I wouldn't have a lot of extra coiled up in the way. There are numerous sources available on Amazon. The last piece of my setup was to supply power. I purchased a water proof illuminated rocker switch https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019UM15U2/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_11and through a 10a fuse wired it directly to the battery on the trailer. I connected the 12v positive in the harness to the switch and the 12v negative to a ground on the trailer frame and I was all set.Back in the truck there are several ways to mount the camera, I settled on attaching the stand to the back of the camera and using a pair of small bungee cords attaching the stand to my rear view mirror. I pull the cable I need out of the glove box and connect it to the camera. When I hook up my trailer all I do is back up, hook the ball, attach the trailer wire, connect the single push together camera connector, and flip the switch in the hitch to turn on power for the cameras and monitor. When I disconnect it's just the opposite. Don't forget to turn off the power as even without the monitor attached the cameras will still be drawing power! The monitor allows multiple viewing layouts from single camera thru 2, 3, 4 and different combinations of cameras. It also allows you to rotate the view of each camera individually until you have them all aligned as you would like.Unfortunately for me the first time I actually used the camera, I ran into a problem with the monitor where it started blanking out and losing settings.I contacted the seller and described the problem. Keep in mind you are contacting someone in China so there is a 12 hour time difference. They got back to me the next day with a few suggestions for me to try. I did, but they didn't work. I contacted them again and they got right back to me again the next day asking for my shipping information. They were going to send me a new cable because they thought that might be where the problem was. Coming from China it took about a week. I tested the system with the new cable but still had the same problem. I again contacted the vendor and this time they said they would send out a new monitor. I have since received the monitor and tested the system with it. So far it all seems to now work fine. It appears the monitor was defective.Overall I believe I will be pleased with the camera system. The quality of the cameras seem quite acceptable in daylight. I haven't had a chance to try them in the night, but I am hopeful as I had the painful experience of coming home late once last year and trying to back the trailer into my yard in the dark was not something I want to do again. A slightly larger monitor option would have been nice. When you have all four cameras up at once a seven inch screen is tight. A nine or ten inch would be much better, but at this price you can't complain. The initial problems I had with the monitor were unfortunate, but I give the vendor an A++ for customer satisfaction in working with me to get the problem fixed and at no additional cost to me. Finally with the addition of less than $50 in parts I was able to customize the system to do exactly what I wanted and function as a quick disconnect setup. I really have nothing to complain about here.Backup Camera Wired 7 Inch Split Quad Monitor and Camera Kit For Truck/Semi-Trailer/Box Truck/RVTrailer/Bus/Tractor When Reversing Parking Backing to Avoid Blind Area.

TRASH - DO NOT BUY
Hmm what is the worst thing about this? So hard to choose! How about:ZERO INSTRUCTIONSCord for monitor is laughably short. Our fuse block is right by our dash and this didnโt reach. We contacted the company and they said they would send us an adapter (after lots of back and forth and arguing, they really did not seem to understand anything we said). Well they did, and only 3 channels worked. So then they sent us a new monitor. Still only 3 channels worked. Then they said โoops maybe the issue is the adapter! Sorry, can you find a working adapter to use instead??โ But they couldnโt provide or tell us what adapter would actually work. Now weโve spent hundreds of dollars and countless hours getting this system installed and we have three holes in our RV with cords run behind walls that would take hours to remove so we canโt even take out the faulty system.Image quality is not great, definitely a budget buy (if it were to actually work).Very disappointed. Wish we could send it back but we missed the return window because it took WEEKS to install when it shouldโve taken a couple days at most. Given all the issues, we had to have multiple techs try to fix it and go back and forth with the company for weeks, and now we canโt even return it (and even if we could we wouldnโt be able to get the cords out of the wall to send them back).Buyer beware.

A lot of value for your money.
I ordered this system to replace an old failing b/w system on my 40 ft motor home. The system I replaced had a motorized tilt for the rear camera and this one does not. It's not a problem for me as I mounted both rear cameras, one above the other with one pointing down at my hitch and the other pointing rearward and I can have both cameras displayed at the save time. The system arrived in a timely manner and was unpacked, assembled on a table and function tested with no problems. I was amazed at the quality of the cameras for this price point. The picture quality was excellent for it's intended purpose. The multi-image display is handy while backing as you can see multiple cameras at the same time, if desired. Night vision IR is good. Remember you are lighting up the area in front of the cameras with IR light from LED's, not flood lights. The installation is simple and straight forward. If you have ever install a home audio system, this is easier. Run the cables and plug in the components. I had plenty of cable to reach all cameras. The cable routing will vary depending on what you are installing the cameras upon. I spend the most time installing cables.. The monitor was installed in the dash where the old monitor had been removed.

Seems to be a great product
Liked the 4 cameras, seem to have good picture. Went with wired setup, as the wireless system I have now cuts in and out a lot. Everything seems to be of good quality.. up grading class a motorhome system.

Very good product from a company that backs what they sell!
I bought this 4 back up camera with split monitor system from eRapta for my motorhome to replace the aging b&w single camera system that came installed. The first thing I did was hook it all up and try everything to make sure it all worked and it did. Quality looked good so I ran all my wires and everything worked perfect. After a week out on holidays the monitor quit working, so I emailed eRapta and they sent a new cable assembly and monitor within 5 days which cured the problem and I have had no troubles since. Iโm very happy with the system and very grateful for the quick reply to my email and promptly sending the new monitor. For the price you canโt beat this system. I doubt spending twice as much would be any better of a system.
