Remember, ovens get hot...!
Now that I've used the Elite Gourmet countertop toaster, convection, rotisserie oven for toast, pizza, chicken, turkey, and Swedish meatballs, it's time to give my honest evaluation: I love it! A little background and why I chose this product: I recently had to move into affordable housing and still will pay for gas and electricity. I'm now on a fixed income. The first time I used the apartment's oven, my apartment went from 68° to 77°. It took all afternoon for it to cool down. I started to look for a good quality countertop unit with a rotisserie. I was about to purchase one costing nearly $300 which was rated close to 5 stars. But nearly all of the 1 star reviews said the same thing, there was an odor that wouldn't go away, the materiel was flimsy, and the rotisserie function was faulty. Always go to the 1 star reviews first. If they say the same thing, look for something else or see for yourself at a local store if you can find the item. I did. So back to searching I went and came across Elite Gourmet with only 4 stars. Plus it was offered at over 50% off. The 1 star reviews were varied. Amazingly, they were from people who obviously didn't read the instructions or realize that they were dealing with a miniature oven. And ovens get hot. Even the beautiful Brevilles have problems, plus none of them have a rotisserie. So I bought the Elite Gourmet and I'm so glad I did. My apartment never heats up when I use it. Some advice if you are getting this or any countertop oven: READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. After wiping it down and prior to first use, set the oven function, not the convection function, to 450° and heat it for around 15 minutes or so. There will be a slight odor, but it will dissipate. I waited for it to cool down and wiped it with a clean damp cloth again before using it. Next, get familiar with the appliance and its accompanying accessories. Practice removing the baking sheet and wire racks using the tool that comes with the oven. Attach and remove the rotisserie rod. If you aren't sure or have never used the type of rotisserie attachments included, go to YouTube and watch a video. Make sure you have the racks in properly before placing or removing items, especially heavy ones. Last, remember to wear oven mitts. The elements are much closer to your hands then the ones on larger ovens and they get just as hot. Also, use just the oven function, which is at the off position on the function dial, when you make toast. The convection function will dry out your toast. The Elite Gourmet has beautiful French style doors and fits beautifully in the corner of my counter. It's convenient, well-priced, and performs wonderfully. This is not an airfryer, but using the convection feature can sometimes perform the same or better depending on what you are making. Hope this review helps you if you're looking for a countertop oven.

Small but powerful.
This is a wonderful oven. My large oven died and I was searching for an alternative. I'm kinda glad my oven broke because this oven does everything my full size oven did, and more. It's wide enough for my large baking pans, casserole dishes, even my cast iron skillet (for roasted beef) AND I just started using the rotisserie feature. It worked great! I had trouble with the first one I purchased and the company worked quickly to replace it. I do wear potholders that cover my wrists as the doors sometimes swing closed. It uses less electricity that the full size oven. That is a big plus.

Best Purchase in a Long Time!
Our (3 month old) stove had to be repaired so it was out of service for 2 weeks. Since we have a large family, I bought a 2 burner hotplate and agonized over countertop convection ovens. I ordered 2, the Elite Gourmet ETO-4510M French Door 47.5Qt and another smaller one which I returned. This Elite Gourmet ETO-4510M French Door convection oven is perfect! The size is perfect, the cooking fabulous. Our stove is fixed, but we use this convection oven almost exclusively rather than our stoves convection oven. I have baked cakes, made pot pie, rotisseried chicken, rotisseried pork loins, baked pork chops, used the broiler for crisping up our sub sandwiches, toasted bagels, warmed up crumpets and have used it for so many more things I can't even remember. Everything came out perfect. No issues at all. We love this thing. The only thing we use extreme caution with this is having the children come near it (the exterior gets very hot) and being very careful to make sure the doors are opened wide and not swinging back as you remove things, as a swinging door will burn you, they get hot. The handles have not gotten hot, even after a couple of hours using the rotisserie. This is no different than any other toaster oven I have had, the doors get hot and yes, a lot of heat can be felt when its cooking for a while. I easily fit my 9x13 brownie/baking pan in it. I placed two 9" round cake pans in it (half way through baking I swapped the pans positions for more even baking). My Biggest question when considering this and other countertop ovens was "will my pans fit?" I have included pics with different pans. The pie plate is a heavy, oversized 9" deep dish. I have not had any issues keeping it clean, even after rotisserie use. I wait until it's cooled down and wipe down with a blue scrub sponge with soap and water, then a paper towel to dry it off. This oven is the perfect size for baking/broiling anything you need. The chicken I rotisseried was about 5 lbs, trussed well. After 3 weeks of constant everyday use, its still clean and looks like new. I am very happy with this purchase and recommend it for anyone who is still debating about getting it.

Really good large oven for reasonable price
I really like this convection toaster oven quite a bit. It does take a bit longer for things to cook in this vs an air fryer cause it's so much bigger but I'm ok with that cause my Instant Pot Duel Crisp Pressure Cooker is to small to air fry a decent amount of food in it at a time. So the few extra minutes it takes to cook things in this is definitely worth it. Especially with the huge amount you can cook at a time in this one. You also really need to pre heat this unit over an air fryer due to it's size as well. Both do better if you pre heat them but this one you pretty much always have to. I've done a rotisserie pork loin in it which turned out great. Tons of wings and some pork chops and everything has turned out great! It's so nice actually being able to see right through the big glass doors while your cooking everything too. My only gripe would be things do splatter on the doors and inside the oven. I wish they had a stainless steel screen cover you could put over things while your cooking it to help with the splatter problem. I've been cooking everything in fairly deep glass pans but things still splatter. Especially the bacon wrapped pork lions I made in it. The bacon really splattered. It's fairly easy to clean up though and I put a layer of tin foil on the bottom crumb tray so that will make it really easy to clean the bottom. I have yet to cook a pizza in it cause I want to get an actual pizza pan so it doesn't drip on anything. I'm guessing it's going to cook pizzas just as good as everything else. Oh and I've cooked pizza rolls well they were oriental orange chicken ones and they turned out great too. Toasted the outside of the rolls perfectly. The one bad thing about how it's packaged is where the Styrofoam lays against the black top of the oven it kinda scratches it and leaves marks on the paint. This may have gotten worse due to the delivery driver not calling to tell me they were here the first day they tried to deliver it for some reason so it had to be delivered again the next day and after working at FedEx I know how packages are handled lol so that's why I took one star off of it due to the scratches on the top on the black painted part of the oven. Only other thing is this does get hot on the outsides of it. It doesn't have any insulation really. So you really have to be carful around the oven. You especially have to watch out for the doors when putting things in and out of it cause the doors can burn you. So they could have tried to make them a little more safe by putting stops on the doors. I definitely think this could have made it a lot more safe to use but so long as you're safety conscious about it you should be fine. Overall I think the quality of the oven is pretty decent. It could have been made a little better with insulating the walls and top a little better but what can you really expect on an oven for about $100. Also in the one pic I'm posting the fan that's on top of the oven is on top of my Instant Pot Duel Crisp mat that's designed for the hot air fryer lid to be placed on it after using it so yes even though it's plastic it's designed for extremely hot temperatures so that's why I'm able to have a fan on top of the unit. You definitely can't just put something plastic on top of this unit while it's cooking if you don't have some sort of hot pad between the items cause this gets very hot. I also put a clip on the cord of the fan to keep it away from the top back and side of the oven so it doesn't burn the cord. So just keep this in mind when deciding on where to place this oven. You could probably store metal or glass pans or something like that on top of it without having to worry about them as much but just remember they will be warm to hot if you grab them after cooking with the oven but definitely don't put anything that could catch fire or melt on top of it. Also speaking of safety I would also pretty much say kids shouldn't use this due to the fact they can get burned very easily on many different areas of this oven. So adult use only or have older kids supervised by an adult. The overall size of this unit is huge compared to most of the others in this price range. Most ovens in this size range are double or triple the cost of this one so that's why I feel it's a really good value for the money. I think I've only used my oven once or twice for a couple pizzas since I still don't have a pizza pan yet since buying this oven. It's so much easier to use than having to bend over a huge oven. It also doesn't heat up my apartment like my regular oven does too which is really nice! I'll actually cook things this summer since I won't have to heat up my entire apartment!

This oven almost sent my wife to the ER!!
We bought the Elite Gourmet countertop oven to use as primary, and had planned to box up our Oster oven to keep for backup. We have cooked with countertop ovens exclusively for 15 years, so this is not a new concept for us. We wanted very much for the Elite Gourmet to be our new ‘favorite’ in the kitchen. Sadly, it failed that expectation on several counts. First, let me say its good points. The interior light is WONDERFUL!! Kind of strange that it stays on all the time it’s cooking, but that’s very easy to get used to. It is also a spacious oven, allowing for pans that most countertop ovens cannot accommodate. And lastly, the doors have simple pin hinges; no springs or other mechanisms to fail prematurely. Sadly, that’s all for the ‘good’ list. The first negative thing we found was with the doors. As mentioned, the door hinges are simple pins. This is nice because there is nothing much that can break. Unfortunately, if these pins are not installed perfectly, then the doors can assume a mind of their own and partially close just when you don’t want them to. Hot doors lead to burns on the hand or arm. Heaven hope you’re not handling hot food when that happens! The next negative is with the temperature control. We thought it would be a benefit being able to control the upper and lower elements separately. Maybe because we are used to a different system, but the individual controls seem to make cooking a bit more complex than necessary. This is more an “us” problem rather than a product problem, but is still worth mentioning. Another problem with temp control is that this oven seems to have extreme difficulty reaching and keeping temperature. We have used multiple thermometers with the Elite and the readings were all over the place. It all comes down to the food not cooking properly. The final straw for this oven came one evening when the wife was baking a whole chicken in a 9” x 13” pan. At one point, she went to check the internal temp of the chicken, so she pulled the rack partway out. She let go of the rack not realizing that this oven doesn’t have the full rack support that our Oster has. The rack, the chicken, and nearly an inch of hot oils tipped back towards the oven. She instinctively grabbed the rack, preventing the hot oils from spilling into the oven. Unfortunately, she burned her hand pretty good as well. It was then that I looked it over enough to catch that things could have been much, much worse. The rack could have tipped towards HER instead! THIS – IS – DANGEROUS!! What scares me more is the number of countertop ovens that are now coming with such a rack system. I should also mention that upon packing this up to return, I looked at the racks and found that they were no longer straight, as they were upon arrival. The racks bend quite easily, so I can see how continued use could cause the racks to bow enough that they would not rest securely on the supports in this oven. It has become painfully apparent that the Elite Gourmet is being manufactured with as many cost-cutting features as possible, and that can cause a lot of problems for end users. We also spent nearly 8 hours tearing this house apart looking for the spit forks for this Elite oven. I finally thought to look closely at the spit and saw marks where forks had once been. It then hit me that this oven did not come with the forks, so I have to wonder if this is somehow a return from someone else? We did not buy it for that purpose. Actually, the only rotisserie we’ve ever used has been our Oster vertical rotisserie, and that seems like a lifetime ago! As this is a review for the Elite Gourmet oven, I will not list the model of Oster oven we currently have. All I will say is, it’s not digital, and has worked flawlessly since we got it in 2018. We will be ordering another Oster once the refund for this Elite Gourmet has gone through.

Great Product! Excellent Results!
When you need an extra oven, this little oven works hard. It's easy to use. Cleans very easily. It's not noisy. But after using it for awhile, the timer seems to get a little weird. But it still works.

Stopped working after 6 months!
UPDATE: Despite what other reviews said, Elite customer service did eventually respond to my complaint (it took about 2 weeks or so). They had me send them a copy of my order invoice, a photo of the serial number from the back of the appliance, and a video (they provided the steps they needed) of the oven not working. Once they received that, they requested I cut the cord on the broken oven, and provide photos that I had done so. Once they received those photos, they promptly sent me a replacement oven. So far, I've only used the new oven twice... I still love it, I just hope this one lasts longer than 6 months. I've updated my rating from 1 star to 3 stars. I'd love to give it more, but given that the first oven died after 6 months, I'm skeptical. If this one lasts longer, I'll update. DO NOT BUY! Product dead after 6 months, and the company's customer service is non-existent. (Look at all other reviews mentioning the same problem) I absolutely loved this oven. The size is great, and I used it probably every other week, for cooking various dishes, as well as baking! Last week, in the final minutes of cooking a meal, the inside light went out... I assumed it was just that the bulb burned out, which I didnt care too much about. Well, I attempted to bake something last night, and when I went back 10 minutes later to check my baked goods, I realized the oven wasnt even warm. So unfortunately, the light not working wasnt the only problem... the entire oven died (except the timer, which doesnt require any power). I'm so disappointed, especially after reading other reviews for the same issue, that also state how bad the customer service is. I've contacted them... we'll see.

Excellent Toaster Oven
This toaster oven is simple, works very well, whether for pizza, casseroles, fish, and is NOT convection! Fabulous! These convection toaster ovens have such a high heat it's easy to burn, they advise cleaning anything that drips onto the elements every time, as they can catch fire! Not for me! Instead, this Elite Gourmet is very roomy inside, and with the French doors easy to access and looks very cool, kind of retro. Pleased with ever aspect of it
