About a year ago, I was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure. So I've been on the hunt for SALT FREE SPICE BLENDS ever since I found out.I'm still looking for more, of course, BUT.....THE CREOLE & MEXICAN BLENDS FROM REBEL ROOTS HAS BEEN ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!Unfortunately, the price is a bit on the expensive side, but in my opinion it is worth it!! As hard as it has been to find salt free BLENDS that actually taste this damn good...IT'S DEFINITELY WORTH IT.

Needed an organic and sugar/salt free creole spice. Rebel Root has it all - flavor and kick! I use in soups, gumbo, and dips and find it to be the most used spice in cabinet. My favorite recipe is an artichoke dip (1 can artichoke hearts - drained,soaked and strained of salt, 1/4 c. olive oil, 3 Tbls. minced garlic, sprig of parsley, 1/4 tsp. grated ginger,1/4 c. tahini, dash lemon pepper and 1/4 tsp., more or less Rebel Root Creole Spice and blend in my bullet - I use cucumber and radish slices as the "chip"). This spice is the BOMB and without the salt and sugar which take over the true recipe’s flavor.

Great flavor, so good with avocados and toast. I used it for the rice I made too and it was great, I did use other flavors too though. But this isn’t salty and does have a little spice, but not too much. I would only wish that this wasn’t so pricey. $10 for the size is rather high. Otherwise it’s delicious.

I'm from New Orleans so I love creole seasoning. This organic seasoning is perfect because I was able to add my own Himalayan salt.
