Gameplay In Ener-G Gym Rockets players take on the role of a young female gymnast making her way through successive levels of competition that will eventually lead to the Olympic games. This road to the medal round is full of training, choreography, fashion and fun as players familiarize themselves with the various elements that make up a winning performance in each of the five events, which include, uneven bars, balance beam, floor exercises, vault and freestyle performance. But you are not alone on this journey. Just as in actual gymnastics, players are guided by their coach. OK Game
I purchased this game for my daughter who loves gymnastics. She has gotten very frustrated with this game and won't play it. So I picked it up and tried to do it and I was also disappointed. There is no explanation as to how to play it. Usually with games there is an instruction part. This one doesn't seem to have it, and if it does, we can't find it. The little book doesn't explain it either. When you are doing the routines, you have to build energy to do the flips, etc. It took time, but I figured out how to get some energy, but not a lot. There is no explanation anywhere that I can find that tells us how to build the energy. For the flips and tricks, there also really isn't any instruction on doing them, except some arrows that are pointed in certain directions to show you how to do certain tricks during practice stage. It is not a bad game, we have figured it out enough for my daughter to play with it for a little while. But it should have more tutorial involved than it does, so you can get the maximum playtime out of the game.

Great for girls who like gymnastics
My daughter was 8 when she got this. She had been in gymnastics for a year and actually tried this at a friends house and asked for it for her birthday. She played with it for quite a while and still every now and then. After having it for about a year, she doesn't play with it as much but for the price it was definitely worth it. I got it on amazon for 9.99. I don't think I'd go out and pay $20 for it, but I think any young girl who likes gymnastics would like it.

Great game for adults who used to dream of being a gymnast!
I'm a 32 year old female who used to (and still does) fantasize about being a world class gymnast. In reality, that will never happen. However, with this game, I can be a great gymnast virtually! My teenage niece told me how great it was so I got it and it's awesome. It's a very unique game. It takes practice and strategy to be able to do the moves and to perform them in competition. I've had it for a week now and love it. The graphics are nicely done, very feminine, and charming. I would recommend this game to any adult who ever had a dream of being a gymnast but couldn't...til now.

Pretty fun game if your kids likes gymnastics
My daughter played this game Christmas day and a few times since. I bought Nintendogs and Petz Dogz Pack so that is where the majority of here efforts have been. She has noted that the stylus interaction with the game is a little inconsistent at times. For the most part, things seem to work. I've also tried to play it to help her get the right stylus motion to perform a trick. It can be a bit of a challenge.I'd still buy the game again because the gameplay is still fun for my daughter. We're figuring more time with the game will help get past the nit picky stylus interaction.

Both of my daughters have had a lot of fun with this game. It's a great addition to your Nintendo DS. It has lasted us over two years & we have had no issues with it.

Supruisingly Great
When we purchased this game I looked at the back of the box and I though that the graffics were not that great... and it seemed the game would be boring. I was wrong! This game is HOURS of fun. I played this game 2 days straight after I bought it. It is fun and exciting. I can not stop playing it! The only bad thing about this game is that the instructions are not detailed enough. It is hard at first but it takes practiced. I strongly recommend this product.

Not a Favorite
Just a mom but this does not get played with much. Super Mario seems to be every kid's favorite and anything else is only a fad.
