It works great. I didn't realize how much the lube was needed since I've owned the machine for almost 13 years and it is used daily. I guess the deterioration of the original lube was so slow, I didn't notice how much more pressure I had to keep applying over time to lift the lever. I almost slammed the level when I first used it because there was almost no friction. This product is pretty expensive but the size of the purchase is more than enough for my lifetime use. Besides, spending that amount for a quality product on a $3k machine is a no brainer. One last comment. Some reviewers posted that their received product came in a plastic container. Mine did come in a small tin can as pictured in the product description. Review: Brass instrument slide lubricant - I use this as a slide lubricant for my French Horn. While there are slide lubricants marketed specifically for musical instruments, none of them compare to the refined quality of this product. It costs more but in the small metal container it becomes affordable and conveniently fits in the average musician's instrument case. For those that care about daily longterm exposure to various chemicals, you should avoid most of the music instrument lubricants currently on the market and instead go with this product which can be used on food processing machinery.
