Plain Simple Useful: The Essence of Conran Style

I have found this book to be the most useful in planning a bath and kitchen remodel. It really does break the decisions down to the most basic, plain, useful ideas. There are so many design options out there but personally, if I'm doing a remodel of a room that needs to last 25 years, I prefer to weed out the trends. Conrad's book is the perfect guide to figuring out what makes a design timeless.

Beautiful and useful book and the usual Conran style, which I love. And an excellent price for a very pretty and durable book.

Good but not recommended as worth it. There are others on the subject that are better.

This book describes three cupboards and states that instruction plans are available online at the publisher website. However, these links are broken. I contacted the publisher, but I never received a reply. The book is informative. The useless links need some work....

Conran est le roi des choses simple et utile - pas comme certains autres. Tu peux trouver des très bonnes idées pour aménager ta maison, etc. C'est très pratique aussi et tient compte que les pièces doivent fonctionnés et ils ne sont pas toujours comme on les voient dans des photos.

This book arrived a few days ago and all ready i cant stop dipping in and out of it. The photography is very good with good advice on how to make your home feel like home in a very simple way without spending loads of money.............makes you think about how you can improve your home with just a few changes. Paper quality is very good and its a lovely coffee table book to be enjoyed.

I grew up in the 1960's/1970's and Habitat was a great influence on our choices for our first (and subsequent) homes. We decorated in plain white, plain roller blinds instead of curtains, paper or wicker lampshades, plain carpet and quarry tiles, pale Ercol furniture (if only we had kept that...), and big plants. I think it is fair to say that TC has had a huge influence on a whole generation. The look is still evident in our home today although we have expanded into some retro pieces of furniture. This book is inspirational - keep it simple, keep it updated as you go along and enjoy living in your home.

Great book but packed badly and my new book turned up with damaged corners. Not what u want when u pay for a brand new book.
