The strap is as advertised, an original Casio strap that fits perfectly on my G-Shock GW-2000. It looks and feels like the original strap that came with my watch. The fit and finish is excellent and I am glad that I can now wear my G-Shock again. That being said there are some pitfalls when it comes to replacing your old straps. The first hurdle and probably the biggest one is to take off the old straps. Each strap is fixed to the watch using a screw and a mating hollow threaded rod fastener. The screw and the threaded rod have a slot for a flat head screwdriver. However, the flat head screwdriver slots are deceptively narrow. Try out your screwdrivers to find a pair that will work. You will require two of them so that once can act as an anchor while the other one unfastens the screw. You may also need a desk clamp or another pair of hands. The watch needs to be anchored somehow so that both your hands are free to operate the screwdrivers. I managed to do it without a clamp but it was very frustrating. Once you remove the screw from the threaded rod, the rod needs to be pushed out of the hole to separate the strap from the watch. Here I advise against the use of some sort of tool to poke at the threaded hole to push the rod out. This may damage the delicate threads inside the hollow rod. I instead used the screw itself to push the rod out. Take out the screw completely so that you get an idea of how long it is. Screw half of it back in. Then gently push the screw which will push the rod out enough for you to grasp it later on and pull it out. The old straps contain metal brackets that are nicely hidden inside of the strap cavity. You will see this once you take it apart. The new straps do not come with these metal brackets and as such you will need to transfer them across. Finally, when attaching the new straps be careful when pushing the threaded rods back in. There is a lot of friction to overcome here and as such the rod may bend if for example - hammered in. Try to push them in with your thumbs first. If that does not work use a hard surface like a kitchen counter to push the threaded rod against, all the while keeping the watch body as steady as possible. Keep the rod vertical/perpendicular against whatever hard surface you use to push it in. That’s all. Never would have bothered for the price ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Genuine, orange looks great on my GW3000B-1A Casio Aviation watch *by K***E on February 6, 2014* Bought this for my Casio CW3000B-1A aviation watch that came with a black band. The watch face is black with orange numerals, so this orange band looks perfect, and in fact Casio does put an orange band on the similar GA1000-4A watch, which is also a cool watch. The band is easy to swap out, but you will need 2 micro screwdrivers... if you only have one it won't be easy since the threaded rod will just spin unless you get it from both ends. When you get tired of the orange, you can swap back to the black band to change it up.
