Review: Great Recipies - Great simple ingredient recipes. Review: Best smoothie book! - I can't figure out why this book is so much better than other smoothie books I've seen, but I am loving this book. The smoothies are so easy to make, don't require a ton of ingredients, and are so healthy. I love how she doesn't use dairy but is still able to produce thick "smooth" smoothies. Her writing style makes this a very easy read. I had no idea you could freeze avocados! She has great tips and I feel like I don't have to buy a bunch of weird ingredients or fill my blender all the way to to top with random ingredients to render a great smoothie. She also adds spices to some of her recipes which is something I hadn't really thought of (aside from adding fresh herbs, vanilla or cinnamon). I'm not a super novice smoothie maker, but I'm definitely not super experienced either. Sometimes making smoothies can be a little overwhelming because I think it's easy to get in a rut and get bored with the ingredients (and I'm not creative enough to think them up on my own). She offers such variety that I don't think that would happen. And I love that she labels them (such as Green Lover, Meal Replacement, Low Fruit, etc.) Oftentimes I'm looking to make a smoothie as a meal replacement so I can find those quickly without reading through all the ingredients. Love love love this book! ;)

No serving size/nutrition/sugar/vitamin info
Very informative book about different combinations, but I returned due to the fact that there is no nutritional info on the recipes. You have to pretty much look up all the nutrition and sugar content info from each ingredient.

New to juicing? Get this book.
Excellent book for beginners to juicing (as am I). Even those with experience might find valuable info. There is an error on page 233, listing โFour vegetablesโ -avocado being one of the 4. Avocado is not a veggie - it is a fruit. A point to know if using the 4x4 combination. Highly recommend

Great little book
This book has fantastic recipes and helpful information, and I love the spiral format - makes it easy to keep on your counter while you're using it, because it lays flat!

A lot of ingredients per smoothie
Great book, great smoothie recipes but I was looking for something more simple with less ingredients.

Extremely Informational. Great Book.
I'm buying ingredients to make smoothies this weekend (I just received my new blender, so I'm rather excited). Why the five-star review if I've not tried any of the recipes? I know the recipes will work, as I've seen similar ones elsewhere. And, come on... There are 108 recipes included, and they are geared towards all types of smoothie-drinkers: beginners, those who want to lose weight, those wanting meal-replacements, low-fruit/sugar options. And all recipes are vegan (though I am not). What I'm most impressed about with this book are twofold: (1) The quality of the book is great. All of the paper is glossy, and the book is full of images for the recipes. I like knowing what the final product should look like. Typically, I like nutritional information with recipes -- none are included in this book -- and Brock explains the reason she does not have any listed. Making smoothies is not an exact science, and a "handful" of spinach could vary person to person as well as 1 cup of spinach (depends on how you pack it). Also, smoothies are highly versatile, and ingredients and amounts of ingredients vary. (2) The entire first half of the book is, indeed a bible for smoothie drinkers. Brock presents the argument for smoothies, and presents extremely detailed information on ingredients, super-food additions, storage (how to store fruits/vegetables), and grocery shopping. I found this information extremely helpful, and it helped me decide how I want my personal "smoothie journey" to look.

There seems to be an editing problem with the book
Overall the book itself is good but many of the sentences on new pages don't follow on from the previous page. I will contact Amazon for a replacement and hopefully it will be better
